1) How is Monster Regen Rate measured?
2) What Units?
3) HP / Frame ?
4) HP / Sec?
5) % of Total HP / Frame?
6) % of Total HP / Sec?

This is a really tricky question. It used to be in the Statistics forum, but ever since the crash...

Currently I am trying to see if I can find the info again. It had something to do with frames.

% Total HP / Frame would be scary
Regen Factor = 2
Imagine a 32,000 HP Monster, regenerating 640 HP Per Frame.

After many perilous searches on the world wide web, I finally found something on the matter. It was not easy and I saw some pretty gruesome things (damn those Pop-Up's), but I have the info. I did edit it a bit and changed some of the words and am in no position to quote the original author (don't know the name).

Replenish Life +x is a simple linear rate, meaning Units per Frame. There are 256 Units in a Hit Point. There are 25 Frames in a Second. The formula for the number of Hit Points per Second becomes:

HP per Sec = (Regen × 25) ÷ 256

In which: HP per Sec = Number of Hitpoints in a Second
Regen = the "x" in Replenish Life +x

So Replenish Life +10 would give you (10 × 25) ÷ 256 = 0.97 Hit Points every second.

The same applies to regeneration rates.

Mad Mantis that is the way a ring of Replenish Life functions, but it is not what the DamageRegen factor that is used in figuring the monster life recovery. The closest answer would have been 5 from the first post.

Monster Life recovery = MaxLife*DamageRegen/4096 per frame of game time.

Example the DiabloClone (and why most players need to use PMH or poision on him).
MaxLife = 642700
DamageRegen=2

recovery = 642700*2/4096 = 313.818 life per frame of game time or (x25) 7845.46 life per second.

Thank for the info Ruvanal. It was really hard trying to get some solid info on this.
