I like my barb merc, but as always, act 2 merc auras are amazing. I just wanted to feel different by using a different merc than Act2 mercs.

i always get holy freeze merc for smiter/zealot. i just like enemies to be slowed.

I agree can't beat a holy freeze merc but a friend of mine uses a might merc with an eth doom cryptic axe

I like the act 2 NM offensive merc for the might aura. I don't really needed added defenses as a smiter, but the added damage is always welcome.

With the leech I'm doing, I don't see much damage coming from monsters. The freeze would lessen damage, but the might increases leech and killing speed.

i find mercs useless on my smiter, they just get in the way and get themselves killed. i think most people use their smiters for ubering so mercs are not needed but if you do other things i guess freeze or might merc is best. ive seen act 1 ice rogues being used alot too so might want to consider that as well.
