whats considered a hr
Sorry about the dumb question but thanks for any help
Some people count from gul i think and some people start with higher, i think mal or the one above that...depends on who you ask
I never see any
i found that in trade values section in the "pricing guide" thread...
i dont know how accurate it is though
I think it's rather realm dependant.
On europe ohm and up are considered high runes.
However, when someone offers "hrs", he usually means jah/ber/ohm/lo, as those are the most popular ones.
Usually, runes Vex and up are considered to be high runes (ie. you can't get them from the Hellforge). However, on many realms, Mal has been traded evenly for a high rune. Recently on West, Ist seems to be going through the same thing as well.
The definitions of a high-rune have changed many, many times over the various patch versions. The term "high" from "high-rune" does not necessarily mean rarer to find, but rather high in value. And value is determined by demand -- the amount of runewords that rune is used in, and the functionality of that rune by itself. This is why some people do not consider Surs, Mals, Ists, Chams, and even Zods to be high-runes (even while a lowly Vex could be considered a "high-rune" by the same person).
I think its vex and up but ist is becoming a hr nowadays
I vote for Vex+, because from my experience, it seems to be the most commonly used definition.
Last I did some trading on East Ladder, it was vex+, mal, and ist were all HRs.
I agree with evrae, sirax & frosty here. hr's are vex+, for the simple reason that vex and above can't be dropped from forge.
I acknowledge that mal's (among others) have the same value as hr's someplaces, but that still doesn't make 'em HIGHRUNES.
Some items are worth more than others eventhough the are less rare:grin:
Imo rarity is what decides the term "hr" (without duping :lipsrsealed: US)
Yea dude, the most popular hr's (ber, jah, ist, sur) seem to get duped alot, so watch out when trading for them
