What's best gear 4 smiter when u wanna do Ubers??

Hi people, I'm kinda new to this forums and i have a question i hope you can help me with...

What is the best gear for my smiter for the Ubers?
Curently i wear the following:

Dusk nigma
Eth Exile kurast shield
upped (twice) tearhaunch myrmidon greaves
upped string of ears belt
seraphs ammy
ravenfrost ring
rare ring with 9res all/ 7 life leech and a small strength bonus
grief phaseblade with 32 ias / 389 dmg

am i ready to kill or do i really need some last minute gear changes...

I would go with some gores. The cb is really worth it.

i wear a um'd shako (CoA was too expensive) and i'm still looking for some draculs gloves... currently i wear some rare gloves with 15 to strength and 20 ias.

As for the gores, i think i have a pair of those on my mule

Dusk nigma - if you do it right you wont need tele, use coh for more res
Eth Exile kurast shield - no good at all, use hoz or vortex/zakarum exile i suggest upped hoz for res
upped (twice) tearhaunch myrmidon greaves - get gores
upped string of ears belt - get dungoes
seraphs ammy - good
ravenfrost ring - good
rare ring with 9res all/ 7 life leech and a small strength bonus - get a wisp projector
grief phaseblade with 32 ias / 389 dmg - Good

verdict - need more res... consider kiras for a helm
you dont really need DR for ubers, but you do need stacked res (my smiter had about 300 res all)
also - what is your current helm and gloves... you will need dracs

for armor use coh instead, more rez which youll need for meph. i wouldnt try ubers intill you have lifetap from draculs or exile shield

a good alternative for coa is guillaume's face

make sure you have a good amount of ias:azn:

cb is overrated... with only the 15 cb from my gores, my smiter took 3 mins or less from the time of opening the portal to the iding of the torch... dont sacrafice res for cb, because you dont need very much... you will be hitting a cb every second or so with only 15%cb with the setup i suggested

im not bored enough to do the ias calculations, but go with hilords if it will hit you the next ias bp

maybe try a maras for res or a higlords 4 IAS for your ammy

oh btw, you don't NEED like stacked resists, I do it with a little over max resists and i use salvation while doing meph and i do it fine

as for the CO armor.... shouldnt be to hard, just like the dracs and the gore riders

I should be ready to run it pretty soon. and the resists shouldn't be that big a problem.when i get the COH i will be well over the max resists because of all the res all sc's i already have in my stash (not all equipped now)

try stormlash ctc static field, alot of cb, and very fast. i think it has lit absorb too? great for meph... try it cheaper than grief too

so you use salvation instead of fanat? why do that when you can get rez from gear and be able to use fanat for ias and damage?

Meph's conviction will do -125 to your resists. Meph is surrounded by all sorts of minions that bombard you with elemental damage. He also does elemental damage to you. I doubt you will suvive without maxed resists after the conviction. So you will need 100+125+75 or 300 resists.

Alternatively you could try to take out the minions before dealing with Meph. Lawbringer is good tool for this as most of the minions are undead.

in my opinion, and ive done ubers 100+ times in my time on ladder, your gear could do with afew tweaks, but i disagree with munchkins that crushing blow is not necessary and that youd need to change your exile. crushing blow isnt vital, but makes it alot easier with a decent percentage. slap on a guillumes face, and if your gutted over losing resists, put an um in it. with a grief phase blade and decent level of fanat, you should be hittin last smite bp anyway so keep with seraphs or switch to metalgrid for resist stacking. i agree that chains of honour is nice for stackin resists, but i think fortitude with its 25-30 but more importantly the 300% ed is best option here. slap on salvation when your whittling away at meph and it shouldnt be a problem. i agree you need gores and a pair of dracs (for extra % to life tap-this way ur almost guarenteed to not die) for me, on a smiter/1pnt smiter, nigma aint a good armour for ubering. i use tgods for ubers as meph is the only thing that poses a problem, not diablo with his phys damage, and my friend (also a smiter) swears by the credendum belt for its 15 to all res, but if u wanna stick with string, it aint a bad choicer good luck... hope ya get a pala 20///20
