what to put on summon necr merc ?

So, ive more or less finished my MF summon necr

im confused about what to put on the merc though

so far i got nice eth forti and thats all, i was thinking of infinity as id still use it later for my sorc..will it do ?
and what helm ?
its a nm act 2 offensive

Infinity is a nice addition to help boost your mages and your CE.

For a merc helm, add an Andy's. Socket it with a Ral to offset the negative fire resists on the helm. The life leech on Andy's will really help out keeping your merc alive during skirmishes.

Yes, you absolutely want a NM act 2 offensive merc (Might). Might is really the only merc aura that really does anything for a summoner.

If possible, add a Beast weapon to your necro for an added Fanaticism aura. Might plus Conviction plus Fanaticism plus a buttload of skels/mages/revives/golem/merc = OMG!

hmm but my maina rmy is skeleton warriors...
still infinity ? 1 thng is that i can afford only 1 infinty and i could use it later for my light sorc which would be great

Well, without mages the infinity would only help you out in your CE'ing. And I'm assuming since you didn't max mages that you probably maxed CE and use it alot. Also, I think there is crushing blow on inifinity (not 100% positive on this) that would really help your merc in killing. So use the infinity if you don't want to bother getting a new polearm.

Another option would be to attain a Pride weapon for the merc. The concentration aura would be a nice boost for your skels.

Infinity contains 40% crushing blow, you are correct.

Ethereal "Infinity" polearm if you can. If not, ethereal "Obedience" makes for a surprising Merc weapon as well. Helm should be something like Vamp Gaze, Andy's Visage, or something else that complements the Merc.

Infinity takes away 84% of enemy defense I believe it is. Thus greatly helping your warrior accuracy. I personally think it is the way to go mages or not. The crushing blow and over all damage is great too, as well as I think it contains MF which helps you out. Thresher is what I prefer, If you go thresher with a Beast on your nec and the Andys Helm your merc will have a 4.5 attacks per second speed I beleve, it takes 51% (with fanat) to reach 5 per second. The general consensus (after lots of posts with the same question) is that Infinity is best because your speed comes from Corpse Explosion. Thresher and Giant Thresher are fine. I might use a Thresher so your merc can start using it a bit sooner, but the difference is minor.

I usually use an insight on the merc, but I usually go overboard with corpse popping =P.

If you want max efficiency, go with an infinity.
