What to do with my summoner

Ok, so I maxed out the following skills so far:
Corpse Explosion
Skeleton Mastery
Raise Skeletons

and 1 pt into the 1pt wonders/curses/golems, etc.

So where should I look to putting point into? I was thinking maybe poison nova b/c it's synergized by CE.

I'd suggest mages if you got enigma. The poison mages will stop uber regeneration and the cold mages will slow enemies down.

If you don't like mages then prolly beefing up your bone armor would be your best bet.

I don't know if poison nova would be good or not since I've never played poisonmancer. Maybe some of the other vets here can shed light on that.

I'd go with mages. Decent damage addition, chill monsters, poison monsters.

Also, CE does NOT synergize Poison Nova. You must've misread POISON explosion.

Do you really need to max out RSM in order to take on the ubers? With one point, you could get like 8 or 9 skeletons.

Oops that's what I meant.

So should I go with mages? I don't have an enigma so that might be a pain... :(

Personal preference. I detest Mages and like revives. However, I will be beefing up my bone wall. IIRC Bone Wall gives you a better boost to your Bone Armour than actually putting points in Bone Armour itself.

Yeah, mages are fine. I really don't understand why so many people think Enigma is an absolute necessity. It might be a little slower, but summoners aren't really known for being speed freaks anyway. I've never had an enigma, but my summoners did fine.

EDIT: Points in bone armor and bone wall is an alright idea too, but not necessary. 1- Summoners shouldn't be getting hit much, and 2-Bone wall attracts enemies from FAR away. I've accidentally lured out Mephisto before with a bonewall in one of the side chambers in the durance  It can be useful for keeping tough monsters away or keeping your skellies together, just be prepared for whatever it lures in.

After 5 or 6 Fishymancers, I finally (after the base RS/SM/CE/et al) settled on maxing Dim Vision, then putting everything left into Bone Wall for the Bone Armor synergy. (1ptBA=10DR, 1ptBW=15DR)

The downside to this variation is that it is so safe and easy to play, that it can become boring.

I use my clay golem as a decoy. I throw him ahead and through side doors and he draws out the bad guys. They attack him instead of me. This does not work if you golem is too wimpy so I put a bunch in golem mastery. I plan on trying a fire golem for this purpose also.

Fire Golem seems to attract and get swarmed by monsters thanks to his Holy Fire aura. Really useful for pulling enemies off of your Summoner and into the mob of skellies and Merc where enemies can be beat down.
