What to do with fire facets

Well over mfing i have 2 fire facets(2 x 5/5 facets) and have had them for a while wondering what to do with them.

I have a few uses i think for them

1) Socket in this helm
Shadow Hood
Tiara
Defense: 74
Durability: 10 of 25
Required Level: 52
Item Version: 1.10+ Expansion
Item Level: 87
Fingerprint: 0x8d30ff2f
+46% Enhanced Defense
All Resistances +17
20% Faster Cast Rate
+2 to Fire Skills (Sorceress Only)
14% Chance to cast Level 5 Charged Bolt when struck

This is part of my 200 fcr sorc im building

I also have a 3/20/15 (fire beeing at 20) eschutas that could make use of it

2) Trade one of them/both
3) Some sort of fire druid

I do have a volcanoe/sort of summon Druid(Based on AEs guide roughly) though i don't use ravenlore i use this

Fiend Visage
Antlers
Defense: 31
Durability: 18 of 20
(Druid Only)
Required Strength: 24
Required Level: 51
Item Version: 1.10+ Expansion
Item Level: 77
Fingerprint: 0xcd56aaa9
+5 to Energy
+33 to Life
+26% Enhanced Defense
Fire Resist +27%
+2 to Druid Skill Levels
+2 to Summon Dire Wolf (Druid Only)
+3 to Volcano (Druid Only)
+3 to Fissure (Druid Only)

I have a ravenlore though have never built a fire druid so im also seeking some advice on this

Im not sure if there are more for pvp but a rough description on what skills to use in combination with each other would be great

I have a couple of facets myself and have not used them (cold and poison I think) - they look good but its hard to see where to put them in that there are often better things to socket.

However, I think the Tiara (especially with two sockets) would be a really cool item. It would pass my "is it better than a shako test?" which would seem to indicate its worth it.

If you like the challenge you could always try the Firedin (Holy fire) route.
And I'm not talking about the expensive runewords, just good old HFire/RFire/Salvation. Belive or not it can work

Well, you could send them to me for use with my fireball templar, but I don't think you'll go that route.

So I vote for either:
A) make a pure fire druid or
2) make your own fireball templar

you should put them in a kuko shakaku and make an ranged enchantress sorceress i bet it would be lots of fun

never used those jewels myself. nice tiara!
nebux likes fiend visage alot.
from my experience with fire dr00ds ( one in hell pits, but running mausoleum)
they need some -% to fire. all spells they cast are timered and it' hard to kill at a good speed.
the -% on ravenlore is more usefull, that more skills. still i don't have ravenlore yet

You should like the tiara Nebux it used to belong to you:grin:

Alot of mixed ideas on what i should do, im still unsure , though first i think i need to go looking for fire druid guides.

did some testing with my fire druid now in P8 mausoleum for experience mostly and -25% from Obedience is making a good result i total time run. you'll see big chinks of monsters life taken by fissure. also he found a 23 life elemental skiller

Socket them in the amazing Tiara and a +3 Fireball Ormus. Or the Antlers if you're enjoying Fire Druids. It's one sweet pelt, by the way.

I'm surprised no one mentioned socketing your Tal's set with fire facets. That's what i'd do to mine ... but i'm still looking for a perfect +2 all Tal's Orb and this time around I can't find any!

Socket the armor/helm/orb and you're looking at another +15% damage/-15% resistance to your enemies and your Tal's damage without skillers should jump up substantially. Add skillers and you'd be rockin'.

+3 Fireball Ormus
Facets are useless for sorceresses that use lightning or fire mastery, because while the -X% res works, the +X% just adds to the mastery bonus. In other words, you get less quite a small bonus.

1) Slap one of them to the Circlet.
4) Put Ral rune, amulet, perfect Amethyst and the other facet to your Horadric cube, press transmutate and voilà, you have completely wasted a nice facet!

Isn't the same true for cold sorcs too, in a bit different way only. For them, +x% dmg works very well, while -x% enemy res is rather useless.

I'd disagree with that last statement. When an enemy has negative resists, adding -X% effectively adds X% damage. Also, having -X% ecr on gear reduces the amoung of points placed in cold mastery, thereby increasing the amount of points placed in synergies (Blizz is a good example of this, because of how many synergies it has)..
