What sorc to solo hell?

In order to rush my friends, I want to make a sorc who can pretty much kill everything and mf on meph. Is metor/orb the best for that? Right now I am using a cold only but all the cold immunes are pissing me off. I use a merc but leveling him is too much trouble and I would rather not have to worry about keeping one alive to beat cold immune.

I think a high lvl meteorb can pretty much kill anything on hell So I would recommend that build for your needs

Properly built tri-elemental is also good for soloing in hell. dual imunes are not as much a problem as with single tree build.

For general PvM builds,

Single element work best with little to no equipment, but have trouble against immune monsters
Meteorb works with medium gears
FO/CL works best if you have the top gears

Of course, if you are talking about builds with specific purposes, it usually goes down to single element sorcs. (ie. fireball sorc for andy run, blizzard for other act bosses and pindle)

Curious, has anyone found a good tri-elemental build in 1.10 yet?

Tri-elementals (archmages) have been my favorite build since the first one I tried back in 1.09.

I have been testing my 1.09 archmage build(s) in 1.10, and although they can still kill fairly well, they obviously can't kill as well as single tree and even dual trees can.

Therefore, just checking to see if anyone has done some testing of their own?

nagels => sojs, or a good rare/craft caster ring.
magefists => i like chance guards, i dunno if you need them to hit a bp.

hard to tell if you are going for pure damage or mf. for damage:
nagels => anything
wartravs => not much choice here. if you go ik gloves/boots, you get a huge stack of stats plus some mf. silkweaves possibly.

yea i need magefists to hit a breakpoint and im pretty much was going for magic find when i built it

IMO those are medium gears unless you have tons of skill charms. Works really well with meteorb though. What shield are you using?

Also it seems like MF gear. I thought you want a general PvM build. If that's the case, I'd drop tal's armor/belt for 30+ vipermagi and anariad belt for more +skills. You lose 10 resist all and 20 dex (that's only 40 life), but make up a lot by having 2 +skills and 10% mana (assuming you have 200 mana, that's 40 mana, making up for the loss of 40 life. Stormshield would be nice if you have invest enough str/dex for it, or moser with 2p.diamond if you are low on resist (depending on your charms).

Don't get me wrong though. Those are great MF gear but it's not the best for general PvM. If you want to MF I suggest building a blizzard sorc. And uh I kept forgetting, 2x soj>2x nagal at anytime. 60 MF is nothing when you already have 300+ MF

Optimal pvm gear would be sojs (or soj + raven), maras, arachnid, upgraded perf viper or CoH instead of tals armor, tals belt, tals amu and nagels.

Well 2-element is enough..

Cold/fire with fire maxed, And cold with Fo/Cm
Use a Cta Zerker for extra life/lvl and dam to kill cold/fire imunes..
Enchant + zerker dam is enough... 11xx-20xx by my sorc..

Also +15 skills from equipment will provide good life like 2k at least.. With this kinda gear your resistance will also be max and then you can even kill in 4 player up games in hell

Shako (Jah)
Maras
Storm
Cta Zerker/HotO or Oculus
Snowclash (for not wasting points for a frozen armor)
Sojs
Upgraded magefists
Eth St boots or Marrowwalks or rare 2x 3x pr/fr/cr/lr and frw/mf etc

7 fire skillers 3x life
1 anni (20/16/10)
3 3xx pd sc for melee dam (selfmade)

Well this is my build and i can kill almost everything without any troubles.. I hope you also can make a sorc like this one
