What monster has the best drop rates for HoZ

Well as the title says chaps. I am just trying to figure out the best place to spend my time running for a Herald of Zakarum. What monster or Boss has the best drop rate for the almighty HoZ?

i might suggest doing hell pits, which are easy and give a lot of xp, but do not drop hozzes as much as you would like. However, there is this new thing called trading, in which you trade items that are good that you dont want, for items that are good and you do want :thumbsup:

Trading is all well and good, however currently my entire stock consists of items i dont wanna trade aka needed for lvling or things people just dont want aka low lvl runes.

Figure into that equation the ungodly amount that people like to charge for a HoZ and im like never gonna get a HoZ by trading till next ladder reset

Actually, NM Mephisto has a lower chance of dropping it than Hell Mephisto (according to ATMA). The best chance of dropping it (ignoring quest drops), is NM Baal, followed closely by NM Diablo. Then it's Hell Mephisto, Hell Diablo and Hell Baal. NM Meph rounds out the list of sub 10,000 chances.

Believe it or not, I actually got a drop from the Hellforge smith ....IN NIGHTMARE! It was an avg HOZ but still...that was nice.

D2data.net doesn't have the correct monster stats, including drop chances. Use ATMA's drop calc instead.

Statistically you are correct, however, I made that assertion due to the fact that you can kill NM Mephisto faster than you can Hell Mephisto, and with a lesser chance of dieing. If you can take out both within less than a minute with a high rate of survival then by all means go for Hell Mephisto.

If you downloaded and installed ATMA, you don't need to dl anything else.

Run ATMA > utility > drop calc > 1.10

Then you choose item type etc. and it will tell you what you want to know

have anyone gotten a wizardspike shako or hoz from griswold? i ran about 20 runs and i get realm down i don't see any shako zakarum shield or bone knifes?

i've had 2 HOZ's drop off of nm diablo and he isn't difficult at all to beat if u have a char that is over lvl65
