what kind of Sor that can do key hunt solo (mainly just Destruction)

I'm working my way to my first enigma for my hammer. While my smiter is ready to go on uber trist. I got lots of terror and hate key so far, but 0 Destruction key. Any suggestion on sor that can solo Nilt for destruction key?

Well any sorc I think can do it, but my personal favorite is lightning.

I think Nilo is less often immune to light than anyother element. I also like the way it's easy to single target him with lightning while you're merc tanks.

Just a few suggestions though.

You should really use natures peace ring. This will prevent him from exploding the monsters you kill, but he can still explode the monsters you're merc kills.

Also I prefer max block for a key runner, over Spirt. So Storm Shield IMO is the shield of choice. It offers great Damage Reduce (which is needed since most damage done by Nihlo and his mobs are Physical) and High max block.

If you can get an infinity I highly suggest it. It makes Nilo die so easily. Otherwise it may be more difficult for you.

The other option is simply trading your excess T and H keys for D keys.

The ice spawns or whatever they are called are always cold immune. Nilthalak randomly has cold/ fire or lightning immunity with fire being the most common that i've seen and lightning the least. Oh and tomb vipers are a pain, try not to run/ walk around when they are in the area as their bugged poison is only delivered if you walk through the cloud and not by the poison arrow itself. Your merc will probably not listen to this advice...all the more reason to leave him at home .

the monsters around him vary the main ones are immune to cold as already mentioned. The succubus' are immune to physical. The archers are immune to poison. The spiders are immune to fire. The night maruaders are immune to physical and poison. Wretched and spawns are immune to poison. The snakes are immune to poison and lightning. Nithalik can spawn with any immunity. But its not like i have run this enough times to know it by memory or anything lol.

If your looking for a sorc that can kill him everytime my tri sorc can. Using natures peace of course. In 120 runs I die 3-4 times which isnt bad and normally its because i dont want to go to town to get pots lol. Normally you can run it without having to get pots but every once in a while u will need to. Also if u decide to do it wear silkweaves and a spirit it will help with cold archers which otherwise rape most sorcs. It has nothing to do with cold absorb and max resist as my sorc has those it has to do with block rate and defense vs missles.

Side note: Even with Nature's Peace if u have a merc he does not get the slain monsters rest in peace aka dont use a merc unless you want to die from corpse explosion.

I use a Light/Orb sorc to kill Nitlay. I dont use a merc because they die all the time.

I just land on one of the corners of the altar room, static eveything on range and cast CL untill the area is clean, then i just teleport close to nitla and finish him off with charged bolt. If there are vipers or if nitla is light imune i just kill then with orb. My gear is:

I was able to run nith with my lvl ** forb/es without a merc. Overall I was really impressed with that sorc type. This was my first forb/es sorc I've made and I was really impressed with its capabilities. Wearing a natures peace, I was able to tank the minions around him fairly well. I did have to take the time to kill the vipers and skelly archers, but was able to survive as long as I had full pots to start (2 columns health, 2 columns mana). Of course if you're making a sorc purely for running nith, I would go with one of the dual/tri trees suggested. I did have full resists (75's across the board) and I hit the 105 fcr breakpoint.

My fire sorc seems to able key run pretty fast. I do countess,summoner,nith and meph for the heck of it in about 5 minutes. Countess will take the longest cause she's immune to fire, but just killing all the minions around her and let your merc finish her off. Summoner, well he dies in 1 hit. Nith is pretty easy if he's not immune to fire, just tele until you can see him use meteor on him and he's usually dead in 1 go. If he is fire immune, just slap on natures peace like everyone else's been saying and fireball everything then let merc kill nith.
