What items do you use for Charsi's imbue reward?

What white items do you like to use and what exactly are you hoping to get? I have a bunch saved up and I don't know what to use them for.

When I play untwinked (which is all I do) I usually spend all 3 imbues on elite merc weapons (preferrably ethereal if the merc is a meleer). I do it at clvl 74+, hoping for Cruel damage and other goodies.

when my character is first starting out, i tend to use the first imbue in normal on any good armor i find, because most fo the time the stuff i first find is garbage. i usually first use some superior chain mail armor, and that's usually good enough until midway through act 2 normal mode

In my 6+ years of playing I've never had an imbue that was either tradeable or useful beyond the next 4 levels. It's about as useful as Anya's gift of class specific trash. I agree with using diadems though, you just might hit the lottery.:wink2:

imbues are worthless. you might be able to get something you can use for your low lvl char until you get better, i imbue helms because they normally give me +to skills

I like to imbue coronets, and circlets since they have a chance of turning out absolutely godly. you could always imbue boots and pray for tri res and stuff.

I haven't had luck with imbue ever, but I imagine the best case scenario would be legit imp shank type boots :p

I think it´s not a good idea to imbue item types you can easily gamble hundreds of.

Imbues are not wortless. The chance is slim that it turns out good, but you may as well take it. I think of it as a free gamble that always produces a rare, with some extra benefits:
    * Ilvl is always the highest possible you would get on a gamble (clvl+4)
    * you can do it with item types you can´t gamble
    * you can do with ethereal items (good for act 2 and act 5 mercs, or as a gutshot attempt for the character)
    * staffmodded items will have a higher chance of more staffmods, and higher plusses on the staffmods that spawn

In any case, the item will nearly always sell for more than before you imbued it. For players like me who play 'untwinked, no repeats' that is a good thing.
