What is this "The Pit"?

What is this "The Pit"?

If this has been asked already, don't respond and let it drop, or if any moderators reading, just delete...

I did a few quick searches on this place quite a bit of players are refering to as 'the pit'; nothing turned up and now I'm a little baffled where this place is. I don't recall having gone through a dungeon named that, despite me always jumping into an area's local dungeon.

So what and where is it?

its also got 2 levels and in the second level theres an uber chest. Its not required to go in there so that is why u probably haven't seen it.

THAT place? What's so special about that place now in 1.10? Oh, I've been in there plenty of times, but I wouldn't have known if anything was changed in the patch...

the monster levels are acctually high enough to find the elite items everyone looks for like StormShield for example

yup, it's a lvl85 area like WSK. in the 2nd lvl, you can find most unique items except for the really rare ones, azurewrath, tyreal's might......also, monsters there aren't as tough as in WSK and there's no IM.

You can find Stormshield in lots of places, it is only TC72. Meph an drop it.

You can find all uniques in the Pit and other level 85 areas, including Azurewrath and Tyrael's Might. It's Pindle who can't drop those (and Arachnid Mesh).

canned, the big change they made to drops in 1.10 is that monsters now take their level from the area level, and they upgrade their TCs to match their level. So if there is a high level area in an unexpected place, it can drop the big stuff. And they also went through and made a lot of the out-of-the-way places everyone used to ignore, high level. The Pit is just one of these.

It is not an elite unique vending machine. The monsters in there don't drop a lot of high quality items like Meph does. But they do drop a lot of high TC items. You just have to run long enough to see unique ones.
