what is the best "pracitcal" boots for lit/cold sorc?

I'm thinking what next I will do after I finish my WW druid. At the moment I have a sorc in low level, try to build a tri-element sorc, but she was designed to take full tal's set. The damn tal's army just won't drop, so I'm think to build a lit/cold sorc first (aimed at MF).

I'm not very good at sorc (never had one pass NM, I might have one finished normal before), so what is a good boots? Natalya's boots look nice, so does silkweare and waterwalk. Which one is better?

My goal for her is to have killing power first, safety second, MF last.

A good pair of rare boots for everything:) I almost always use rare boots on my sorceresses unless I really need the mana from silkweaves...Dual resists + MF is such a sweet combo and not too difficult to get.

Edit: actually I use crafted caster boots...which are very good because they'll give you almost the same mana boost as Silkweaves and other good mods...if you're lucky.

Exactly how I feel about boots. I am not satisfied until I have gambled/found/crafted some nice dual resist, 20+ FRW boots with 20+ MF, if I so have to gamble 500 pairs over a character´s career.

I'll agree that a good pair of rare boots will be your best bet. However, I don't have any such boots, and so my FO/FB sorc is happily using Natalya's boots. (All of my gambling money goes into diadems, amulets, and rings...)

I was just using Natalya's boots until I got a pair of wartraveller's, but I'm just using her for mephisto runs now, so I'm not really in need of the resistances anymore.

Keeping in mind how cheaply you can gamble for boots, I would recommend doing it just whenever the whim strikes you.

I would agree with the rare boots idea, except that I have yet to get a really nice set of rare boots.

I've gotten some with dual resists, but no run speed. Or run speed but no resists. Maybe I'm being too picky, but I want both resists and run speed. nice stuff like hit recover or magic find or +life/+mana are a bonus.

Half my characters end up using Sander's boots for the 40% run speed. (better to outrun the monsters and be able to dodge ranged attacks quickly)

If you want magic find, Sigon's boots give 50 percent I think (might be 40) if you have 3+ pieces. Sigons set also gives you 10% life leech with 2+ pieces, so it's not shabby.

Sometimes I just settle on my Ruby Boots of Speed (like ~35% fire resist and 30% run speed, IIRC)

I like to use sandstorm trek with my sorcs, the 20% FHR can boost you down a couple of frames, much less chance of HR lock.

For a caster, my vote is always Silkweaves if you need the mana, Waterwalks if you don't.

I have never gambled any boots like this. Very nice. It could be better if replace cold res with poison.

    jiansonz, very nice boots there.

I keep dual res (if possible fire/lightning) and mf as my highest priority on sorcs. FRW I don't consider too important as I teleport too much to really use it. FHR is for sure a nice booster on mods.

this is what my meteorb wears:

    Bone Stalker
    Light Plated Boots
    Defense: 15
    +32% Enhanced Defense
    Lightning Resist +18%
    Poison Resist +26%
    68% Extra Gold from Monsters
18% Better Chance of Getting Magic Items
    10% Faster Hit Recovery
