What is the base speed of shields ?

Hi All!

Thats the question - what is the base speed for each shield possible for smiter? I want to hit 6FPA without Fanaticism . With wich shield i can hit it with lower IAS possible ?

You,Sir are correct.


I'd suggest a fast weapon such a Silence Phaseblade to get 6FPS without sacrificing too much gear for IAS.

eh..if you are going to go silence, I would definitely prefer a zerker axe. you only need 35 more ias with it to hit max smite frames. 20 ias gloves and a 15 ias jewel elsewhere takes care of it. It also gives you a range 3, vital if you are going to try smiting barbs.

this is right if using fanatism, but nalchik wanted to hit 6 fpa without it, so a phase blade seems to be the best choice (65 more IAS to reach 6fpa w/o fanatism)

Ok , so it is not.

About Silence ...
That thing i can only dream with my stuff ...
Do anyone got cheaper options ? It Really problem for me :hanky:

About Heavens Light ..
I'm on Non-Ladder Europe... bit a problem too ...
What about redeemer ?

And One more thing. Does ED on weapon or any other affect smite ?
How Exactly I can increase my smite dmg ?

best way to increase skill levels, particularly those of combat skillls and more notably that of holy shield. ed on places other than the weapon does affect smite some, but 1 to skills will actually effect it noticeably. so I wouldn't worry about ed. Of a choice between redeemer and heavens light, I would go with the redeemer. that +damage modifier transfers to smites base damage, and bypasses the pvp penalty. If you are playing pvm, then the heavens is better, with crushing blow, more sockets, and higher skills. If pvp, then only against high life opponents (4-5k or more), then crushing blow can make a big difference there. Otherwise, go with a redeemer. Since you are trying to reach 6 fpa without fanat, you really will need a phase blade. try shopping for a phase blade, then using flawless gems on it until you get a rosebranded (preferably of quickness and with 2 sockets). However, if you get such a weapon, optimal socketing would say ber ber. However, you are hinting that you cannot afford it, so shaels or ums would be best. Just make sure you hit 65 ias total. With that and a phase blade, you are hitting 6 fpa smite. Anything else means that you probably won't hit 6, at least not easily. good luck!
