What is more fun than a glass cannon?!

Never had much luck/fun with my zon builds. Built a really crappy cold arrow shootin', Mav wearin' good for nothing bowa, started a Java but never finished... bleh :undecided:

Then, this season, I made my first all-dex, no-vit build and I love zons again! She's wearing Andy's, CoH, crafted IAS/KB/Passive gloves, dual Ravens, Gores, 14 Fana Faith and Cat's Eye.

With her sisters in arms (Harmony/EthVamp/Fort Act 1 Merc and lvl 22 Valk), she yawns her way through Chaos, strafing the masses and GA'ing Diablo to a quick death. Seeing my torch spit out FS after FS is hilarious ... :laugh:

Anyone else have a blast with dexazons?

Glass cannons are great. I use a different setup though. All dex and a Silence Crusader Bow. I rock maxed Multi & Strafe, max Penetreate, high Critical and high Pierce. Other than that, I have a point in Decoy. It's all I need (Decoy is there for the monsters that cannot be blinded that need to be deterred a moment while I strafe them). I like Silence even though it's got less damage and is slower than some of the better uniques and super runewords due to the mass blind that it casts, which happens 100% each time I hit. It's like playing a Dim Vision Lord, but who spits out physical damage herself, in one awesome little package.

how often do u die? ive always wanted to make a bowzon since the last one i had was back in 1.09 but i really hate dieing so ive always gone away from this build.

well, assuming that you know what you're doing, you basically never die. Your merc also is as immortal as a merc can get.

WOOT WOOT. I'm on the link posted on top.lol..

Before I got my act2 Might merc, I had an act1 Rogue with Harmony/Gaze/Fort and I would do Chaos runs pretty easily.

The Silence bow is a decent idea, I've always like monsters flee and dim vision. Almost makes you skip on kb.

The funnest Zon I ever made was way back in 1.09; she used a Cruel Blade Bow of Alacrity (dual Shael) jacked up to 7 fpa and was as fragile as fine crystal, but she would have made it to lvl 110 if that was possible. She was a blast. She made all those 1.09 Windyzons and Ithazons blush, then turn green with envy - with just a little old Blade Bow.

This season's Zon is somewhat of a tribute to her... This one's a Hybrid, but she's all about Dex - Faith Mat, Fort, Atma's are already in hand; I'm still working on the rest of the details, and she's still in NM, but she will be nasty... Oh so nasty. And fun.

My Zons are usually the reason why I put up with the aggravations of item finding and Bnet trading. I don't care what their gear costs; they'll have it. Most of it is fun, though I admit that some of it is showoff. :prop:

Mine's got 700 life, max resists (80% lightning). I only die if I get sloppy, and even then I usually escape trouble. If I were to play solidly, I'm sure I'd never die.

Indeed, what's the point in having lots of life when you barely get hit, and can leach everything back in half a second anyway. Dexzons Just need to be a bit careful about the piercing enemies such as souls if you don't have max res :azn:

While you practice to master the playstyle for a low life char use knockback, is a saver.Lowest life high bowie I used is near 400 life at lvl 87, plays well till my crapy connection go crazy and show me some nice numbers as 2,5 to 4k ping, time to change for a char better suited to survive the constant games freezes(these numbers for ping is prety common in 11am to 8pm, crazy for a adsl 300k connection).
Glass cannon is good and well played is a pleasure, I like more my crapy harmony glass cannon than the good windforce zon with faith merc for doing pitruns, the frw speed make you feel like the zon is out for some blood and asking to be played more agressive, hell of fun when you have so low life asking for caution lol.

hmm! yeah, checking out crawlingdeadman's zon and seeing 5K damage makes me wonder... what did I do wrong?
Inventory has a few passive skillers and alot of AR charms, anni, torch...
