    What is More addictive??

Reality Check folks. What do you think is more addictive?

    a) Checking forums everyday read/post/trade

    b) Actually playing D2.

I personnaly pick a, i do more forum viewing than actually playing the game.

    Yep, definitely (a).

If I can kick that addiction, diablo 2 will be but a distant memory!

    (A) by leaps and bounds. Even when i swear off D2 for a while to concentrate on school (university) for a while (eg. exams) i still waste many hours on forums browsing and posting.

The choice is A for this reason, on the forums 95% of people seem decent whereas on bnet about 5% arent wearing their idiot hats.

I would say A as well.

To assist in your addiction to the forums, make a donation to the site. With all of you addicts constantly logging in, it's costing them bandwidth bucks! That way you don't feel so guilty and embarassed about your addiction.

definitely (a) but they tend to help each other out. i definitely would not be doing (b) at all still without (a), but one of the main reasons I do (a) so much is it's easy to do in a couple minutes while at work... can't do (b) that easily :D

I feel exactly the same way! Yeah, on bnet I end up playing solo a lot of the time, and it's a rare celebrated occurrance to find good party questing games.

Here every time I visit I learn from the experts and enjoy "talking" to people.

It's a cycle of life dependency. Game is the egg, leads you to forums (chicken) it gives you an idea (new build, group quest) that leads back to the egg.

Both are feeding the addiction. If not for D2 I would just be feeding some other addiction like looking at goats on the web.

I also usually solo, esp since starting HC.

I think both are really addictive, as Rick James said on the Chappelle show: "Diablo is a helluva drug", or maybe that was something else? Well I've always enjoyed browsing the forums since I think it has made me a better player and know how to deal with both pvm and gradually I'm getting a little better at pvp. I think when many people first come to the forums first browsing and later posting they may not know as much about the game but soon learn much more as well as lots of times add to the community just from reading each other's posts.

    It definately cycles

A wins out until I MF something cool that I want to use on a character and then B up to the point of using that cool item... and then back to A to report how it worked or didn't work.

Some of the old-timers might remember that my sig was "My name is Baalos and I am a diabloholic. I have been Diablo free for 23 minutes on USWest." So I freely admit my addiction. Having said that, I LOL at all of the threads that say "I don't play any more but... " *cough* NightShade *cough*.

Both are habit forming and should come with a warning lable. But I dont care, both is fun, either if you spam every thread or you play every day. :drink:
