What is a "dupe"??

I'm new, so I lack the terminology. So, what is a "dupe" item??

Dupe is an abbrevation for duplicate. Duping means making two or more identical items out of one.

If you dupe an item, it will show as a dupe if you try to trade it with anyone. The problem comes in with runes. People have duped tons of runes, but there is no way to tell if its legit or not. Thats why if you get offered a trade involving a high level rune, and it seems to good to be true, it is.

Well you and I both know that there's only one way for a duped item to "show as a dupe", so there's no sense in questioning piscene about it. That is, unless he knows nothing about the subject at hand and is just assuming or making things up.
