What happens when two Thorn fight each other?
Will the damage reflect, and amplify between them, thus their fight only require a single blow from one of them to end?
just curious

Just like life leech in pvp, thorn is nerfed so much that it is insignificant in pvp.

If thorn were 1/10 in pvp, you would be seeing alot of 100%OW/Thorn smiters smiting with cracked small shield and no holyshield and alot of OW/Thorn zealots zealing with malice crack long sword and mass poison.

thats not true mort..

its just the fact that people are damage crazed... i mean like every time u duel sombody, there is always one person going...

"Dude whats ur damage"

Nobody has a Build like that cuz nobody ever tried / seen one before. Im sure not everyone had a hammerdin when patch first came out. Most "saw" a hammerdin duel then said " hey i'll make one of those too, they really own a lot"

What thorns do is use ur "Damage" against you, thus killing you.

After i make it i'll duel ur zealot, we will see if thorns + amp works in pvp. but my guess is, Yes, it works. you just need alot of life to counteract the damage you take.

Thorns will not reflect the damage which is inflicted due to Thorns/Iron Maiden/Attacker takes damage. It is not considered an 'attack', and is therefore not reflected.

I beg to differ. A lot of ww barbs have killed themselves on my necro that used had bramble on and iron maiden for a curse. Thorns does work but I just don't know if it's as effective with a necro with like lvl 44 iron maiden, the druid thorn thing and the high lvl thorns from bramble.

I interpreted the question to ask whether the damage taken from an 'attacker takes damage' type ability would be reflected. ie: An attack of 1dmg is reflected back as 10, then that is reflected as 100, then that is reflected back as 1000, etc.

The scenario, as I understand it, is two Paladins stand face to face, and one takes a swing. 'Will the damage reflect, and amplify between them, thus their fight only require a single blow from one of them to end?'

I concur that Thorns, Attacker takes damage, Iron Maiden, and Spirit of Barbs all work independently, and therefore reflect the damage of the attack.

Sorry if I was unclear before. But I don't see this question as a question of effectiveness, but a question regarding the mechanics of damage return skills.

From experience, it is only reflected once. However, if someone wishes to test it, be my guest. Let's say you attack someone with thorns, the damage reflected back at you will no be returned back to the one you attacked since it wasn't damage directly caused by you.
