what happens after the end?

hi all, i completed d2 lod the first time around, a long time ago, but i dont remember if when you get to nightmare, everything gets reset or you are able to keep you inventory...
i've been saving a bunch of gems, jewels and rune stones, and a couple pieces of equipment are pretty decent, i wouldnt want to just loose them

Everything stays the same, your character just gets a title upon finishing each difficulty, that's all.

When you keep playing in normal, the environment doesn't change.
When you play in nightmare, you get -40 to all resistances, and the monsters become a lot tougher.
When you play in hell, you get -100 to all resistances, and the monsters become a whole lot tougher.

You'll keep all stats/skills/items/...

In hell and nightmare you also find objects a lot more tougher and powerful,for example the armors in hell give you really a lot more defense then in normal;I think also that the exceptional objects can be found only in hell...:wink:
