What "Grinds Your Gears"?

What "Grinds Your Gears"?

You know what really grinds my gears? (a quote from Peter off of Family Guy)

EVERY time I come across an Experience Shrine...the next monster that I come across is CURSED....everytime!!!!! So I end up wasting an EXP shrine.

I know some of you out there have your own personal "gear grinders".

So, how about it? What little things like this frustrate you to no ends?

You beat act 1, with the thought of "Finally, that's over" But wait, now we have 2 acts that have the same ANNOYING CONCEPT! Act 2 and Act 3 are the bane of my damn existence in Diablo. Give me a warp pipe to Act 4 please.

No...not just CS...but any EXP shrine I come across...there is always a boss nearby that is CURSED and then my valk and merc of course run right up to them, which means bye bye EXP, and hello AMP.

I really hate when I complete an Act, only to find that I used the -ns shortcut.

ooh.. i hate this too. this is why my vanilla game has this shortcut and rwm doesn't. the latter's for questing and former for running, since i tend to watch videos while running =P

Having to go through great marsh in order to reach flayer jungle. Not every time, but still...
Reaching Summoner on the last branch.

Pretty much any time I have to go into the Maggot Lair.

Whenever you're clearing Den of Evil, and you give great care to making sure you don't miss an inch so that you don't have to trod back, and at the very end, the quest reads "One monster left.", and you have no idea where the monster is.

What omg said. And what potter said too.

Personally, I kind of like the maggot lair

Playing a melee character and trying to hit a monster that's calmly walking away from you (mainly sand leapers). You miss 100% of the time, even though it seems like you should hit.

Cleared all the level and finding a monster shrine.

You might find from that that I prefer single pass characters.

@Smips: Some of us know exactly what you mean.

In a time before LK runs when countess or hell forge runs were a viable source of good runes, made a post on this actually. After some 15 odd hellforge runs a gul dropped, I jerked and kicked the power socket. Never got a gul again from hellforge after another 15 runs :( Previously to that I had a system stall just when my first Pul dropped. Somethings just never go right first time.

Also...

-The Summoner is ALWAYS down the fourth branch for me. Always. Guaranteed.

Most of the things were already covered.

What I also don't like is when we play an untwinked char and we are running and running for items and then they drop... in ethereal form... come ooooon!

A quick google didn't help me... what is the -ns shortcut? (Just curious, I'm in a mac anyway)
