You should ask yourself this first what type of Character? Barb if so the highest possible defence for it would be good. Heavy armor requires a lot of strenght.aragorn_elessar said:While we are on the subject, a question I had about it...
I have heard people mentiong wanting High Enigma..
So, does that mean that it adds to the defence that the armor used in making it already has ?
Should I use the highest def 3 socket armor I find for it ?

this is a bit over exaggerated. I could easily sell my enigma sacred armour for at least the value of the runes in the word, because a decent 'barb' enigma i.e highest def without caring bout str req, is pretty rare. My sacred has base def 594 which you cant beat without going into superiors.Frenzied Bovine said:Use the lowest strength armor you can find while maintaining a high defense.
The defense you should be aiming for is 400 at a minimum. Dusk Shroud and Archon Plate are pretty much the ONLY choices for Enigma that will leave you with _any_ hope of resale whatsoever.
Although for some reason people like breast plate Enigma. Blah.
You can't. Runewords only work on "grey" socketed items. That is, no Uniques, sets, crafts, rares, etc, can get runewords bonuses into them. That would get too overpowered right? :thumbsup:Bolzano said:What I have always been asking myself: would it be possible to Enigma for example a 3 socceted Natalyas Shadow, to create an uber Assassin armor, while keeping the mods of both the runeword and the set?
