Where I duel, FT5 means this:

The duels are GM, meaning an NK doesn't count as a kill, you can't TG the opponent, if they are elemental you only wear 1 piece of absorb/ +max res gear. Before every duel both sides show that they are ready by typing "go". You duel until one person has 5 kills.

The expression 5-0 comes from the FT5 duel, a 5-0 win being one where one player dominates the other, getting all their kills without dying.

If you go into a FT5 with a player who challanges you in a pub, be prepared for the chance that if they get one kill, they will NK you. It's not that rare.

Since the OP is not familiar with abbreviations let me help a bit more:

GM - good mannered - difficult to define but it basically means that you do not have mass advantage over your opponent (not a class advantage - more like i.e. heavy absorb and max res vs. a particular element) - it is next to impossible to define GM though. Whatever both parties agree to is GM.

NK - naked kill - killing another player when he is running to retrieve his body after the last duel

TG - town guarding - person with a body is guarding the town entrance/waypoint in attempt to NK you

If you have neither your body nor clear advantage over your opponent saying "EZ 5:0 delete please" is not a good idea.

Actually, I would say ft5 duels are usually more structured. As in they are more likely to be setup beforehand. ft5 duels in pubs, unless you meet a rare individual who is unlike most of the bnet folk, often degrade ito a whorefest of NKing, sorbing, crying and insulting. As for rules, they are often intepreted differently by different individuals.

There are quite a lot of other duelling acronyms, like AA for auto-aim, FC for farcast and so on, but the most common ones have been covered above.
