I wouldn't, since you don't know if you might want to play again sometime in the future.

You will never know when you plan on playing again, even casually. I'd definately keep the keys -just incase-.

Besides, you do not know who this person is, or what his intention with the keys are for (no offense to kingconroy, but alot of people seem to "lose" CD-Keys, and these things could be used for bots and what-not)

I wouldn't but go a head and PM a mod and see what they say.

So many people 'leave' and then return. You will need a stress reliever when the baby comes and hacking a fallen with an axe might be just what you need.

To Kingconroy; I bought D2 and LoD for about £15. It won't cause the collapse of civilization to buy it again. If you read the rules:
From here, I would say asking for the key is a no no anyway.

You could try having a read of this

Interesting to notice that, while he didnt have time to read the forums rules? he managed to find time to read enough threads to see who was quitting.

How do you lose the cd key? I've heard other people say this too. It's glued onto the case! My copies of DiabloII and Expansion were bought the days they came out (yes I've played that long 1.00). I can still read the keys on my cases. Why aren't people like this honest?

I got my key banned for duping, can I have yours?

it takes talent, unless he had copies of the cd's and didnt take time to write down the key

Cd key = money, and as others have said, you might regret it later because this game might be more interesting after a short break.

You can't misplace the key or lose it, that's the worst excuse ever.
I find it very harsh that people beg for keys like this, it's not like they are expensive or hard to find (find as in find the stores that sell copies).
At least here I can get a new key or keys in 1-2 days for ~ 30 euros.

Through the coarse of moving several times, cleaning, packing for things, etc, I have a case where one or two digits have been scratched, but even then, there's a fairly limited number of possibilities for what they key is. I figured it out, and wrote it on a piece of paper which now resides in the case. I don't mean to cause debate, or any such thing, simply pointing out that a key can be destroyed (and therefore, lost) in this fashion, without losing the case. This is still highly unlikely, though.

pretty hard to lose the CD key, unless you lose the whole jewel case. some people like to put all their install cds into those cd booklets.

personally, i keep everything. the original box, the manuals, the cases.

the majority of people that "lose the key" likely had their key disabled by map hacking, duping, whatever. those that actually lost it .. there is a thread that gives you explicit direction on options to recover the key or get a fresh one from Blizz.
