    What do you gamble for?

I currently gamble for circlets but also for rings and amulets. What do people gamble for with the best chance of getting tradable items?

I'm currently working on (gambling) +2 skill pala amu to replace my maras.
Circlets/tiaras are a little more expensive so I don't gamble them that often.

I never gamble with the intent of finding tradables. I can find better things faster by simply killing monsters. If I happen to gamble a good tradable, that's perfectly cool, but I don't actively try.

I gamble rings and amulets almost exclusively for use in high-end crafting. However, I usually won't pass up a chance for a good circlet when one pops up.

Of course, gambling for craftable goods takes a high-level character. My lower level characters usually don't gamble at all. When their coffers fill up, I mule their gold to my crafter.

circlets: +2 20 fcr str res circlets
amulets: to craft or good rares

but imo light plate gambling is not worth the gold
chances for that archon are just too low and i think u can anyashop it anyway (i think ~not sure~ that she sells light plates)

Indeed, it is possible to buy 4sock 100 life archon plate @ Anya. My mate once did it as you can see in this thread.

Now, if I gamble (not that often) I gamble only circlets. Got a few nice lld circlets, but nothing good actually.

circ types, ammys, sometimes rings. I've had about 10 unique jewelry and a couple of randome set items, death's hand and stuff. Good circs though. I gamble circs in act 3, sometimes get some nice damage boost/mf items

is there a certain lvl u have to be to have a chance to gamble for the more "godly" circlets. i guess i'm talking about the +2 skills of a certain type. i remember this was talked about somewhere else a good while back, unfortunately it was too far back so i dont remember it.

    Thanks for the tip.
I've preferred gambling over crafting because gold is easier to get than crafting supplies IMO (or faster, at least).
and I'm still not quite familiar how crafting works, I know the recipes but that's not enough.

    Along the same line

Rings by characters below the required crafting limit, amulets by characters at or over it. I'd like to (and previously did) mule extra gold to my L99 on non-ladder, but even my L95 ladder sludgehammer is too much of a pain to bring into a game (especially in a public) just to grab gold. Ideally, though, an above post is the way to go.

The reason is simple: even if you get squat, you can cube or craft them. So far I've cubed a 32% and gambled a 35% (or the other way around), so with my non-ladder 43% amulet I have on non-ladder that's only 20% from maximum.

OTOH, circlets usually sell for something close to the gold limit (35,000) and if you must sell something that's worthless it's definitely one way of making your money back. Armors, though, are just way too expensive to gamble unless I build a gold-finding Barbarian.
