I'm honestly really surprised so many people are saying 2 was the much better movie. I found 2 in general to be relatively flat, especially compared to the first one. And I thought the acting and characterization at the end were very poor.

My answer would be yes, because there's a lot less fighting and more of the other stuff. It's rated MA(15+) instead of R(18+) here so that should give you an indication of how the violence changed.

As for which I liked better, I can't tell. I think I may like them equally, but maybe it's just because it's been too long since I saw volume 1.

Ooh, hard choice. I liked them both, but the second movie had Pai Mei in it. My god, I want a beard like that so I can stroke/flick it like him. The breaking out of the coffin and the fight in Bud's trailer were also awesome. Yeah, I'll go number 2 by a hair.

I refuse to answer which one was better on the grounds that they're both 1 movie. As such, I LOVE that movie.
I loved every second of both volumes.

Although if you want to get mildly dissapointed, I recommend reading the original script. If volume 1 had the Revenge of Yuki Yubari chapter, it would have been the best. If volume 2 had the Can She Bake a Cherry Pie, and the original Face To Face chapter, then it would take the cake.
If both volumes stuck to the original script, while still including the later revisions such as the Massacre at Two Pines chapter.... :drool: :drool:

I can't wait till the Special Edition DVD box set comes out this christmas.

I saw 2 because it is a cheap movie ticket. I saw 2 because I saw 1. And I knew 2 had a lot of talking than 1 and I knew I could be disappointed, but I still went regardless.

to me, these two seems to be totally different movies. first one is like intense action, second one is more comical. i was lmao starting from Pai mei til end. he is SO funny especially if u understand cantonese... LOL

i dunno how he did it but the 5 point palm heart exploding technique was SO funny instead of being corny. everyone around was like nodding, counting every step bill took before he died. my friend was like "couldn't he just get a wheelchair?" lolz awesome
