What can hell meph not drop??

Question says it all really. I have been doing 20ish runs a day for the past few days hoping to get Tal Rasha's AMU and Armour and IK's Amour. BUT i was in a baal run game and someone said that hell mephisto couldnt drop either set of armour. Is that true, or can he drop the armour of both sets??

Also, is there any area that is better for tal rasha's amulet? Or should i just continue hell meph runs??

dont bank on my word but if i remember correctly tals armor you can get, iks you cant. as far as tals ammy goes, it can drop from very very very low level monsters, i got mine from normal travs.

Tal Rasha's Guardianship (Lacquered Plate) is TC84 while Immortal King Soul Cage (Sacred Armor) is TC87. Hell Mephisto only drops up to TC78 so he cannot drop either of those.

At players 1 and 300%MF, the top dropper for Tal's amulet is Hell Andariel with odds of 1:3894. The next best is Hell Duriel at 1:3929 while Hell Mephisto is at 1:4688

Damn, i dont like those odds one bit. What are the odds for finding IK mauls and Tal Rasha's staffs from Mephisto?? (just for comparison)

I have found 2 lidless eyes and 5 IK mauls in the last week. Are pit runs the best way to get IK/tals armour then?

Pit runs would give you a chance to find those armours, as would baalruns or ancient tunnels or whatever you like to run, but wherever you choose to do you runs; DON'T expect to find those armours anytime soon. It's better to just generally try to collect some good items and then trade with them.
For comparison: with 300 mf and /players 1 Baal has these odds (approximately):
-IK maul: 1 in 100
-tal orb: 1 in 500
-tal armour: 1 in 700
-IK armour: 1 in 6300 (!)
Ofcourse Baal has the best drops in the game, for other monsters these odds are a lot worse.

Normal Mephisto can drop Tal's amulet, as the item level for Tal's items is 26. I got 2 Tal's amulets of Normal Mephisto, so you might give him a try, he can't drop any high level amulets so maybe you'll get lucky...

This is NOT a good idea. True, Mephisto normal can drop tal's amulet, but so can mephisto on nightmare or hell, the fact that on normal he can't drop any high level amulets doesn't matter because there are no high level set amulets at all...
Most characters can run Mephisto nightmare or even hell nearly as fast as on normal, and you can get much better items there. If hell is too hard for you, in nightmare you can get shaftstop, skullders, arreats, Herald of Zakarum, .... in normal you can only get tal's amulet, soj, gull and some lowlevel crap.

btw: the chance to find tal's amulet on mephisto in normal is about 1 in 5400. In nightmare and hell the odds are a little better, though still not very good.

i thought the TC on hell meph was 87. and he can drop every itme except for three (but i forgot which ones)

Pindle is the one who cannot drop 3 items (arachnid's mesh, tyrael's might and one more i forgot)

Mephisto TC78, Mlvl87

-for a monster to drop a specific item it has to be in the right TC, and its Mlvl has to be >=Ilvl

Arachnid : TC63, Ilvl87
Azurewrath : TC75, Ilvl87
Tyraels might : TC87, Ilvl87

-so Pindle needs 1 lvl more to be able to drop these 3 items, but Meph is high enough for the first 2

I found Tal Armour on the way to Meph on Durance 2.
But Meph cannot drop either armour.
Tal Rasha amulet is very hard to find. You could trade for it. I traded a Paladin combat charm for mine.
