what build should i use with ik set?

hi, what build should i use for an ik barb, im thinking of using one of the following:
    - pure ww barb
    - pure conc barb
    - pure beserk barb (but this may be a bad option as i will have no shield)
    - conc/ww barb
im thinking of making a conc/ww barb with the following skills:
    conc - max
    ww - max
    bo - max
    mace mast - max
    shout - max
1 point in each of the 4 masteries
1 point into beserk (for IM)

    thanks
    hulk

Just to tell you, that's above 100 Skill points. But if you've realized that, you could just make a Barb with:
    Battle Orders- Maxed
    Shout- Maxed
    Mace Mastery- Maxed
    WW- Maxed

and put one point into Beserk and Concentrate. This is because both get very good damage from the synergies they receive from Shout and Battle Orders respectively. Or since you do want to make him more of a Concentrate Barb, then:
    Battle Orders- Maxed
    Mace Mastery- Maxed
    WW- Maxed
    Concentrate- Maxed

Also, there's no point in putting skill points in other masteries...

you have over 100 skill point at your disposal b/c of quests. for example izzy who gives +2 skills.

i do think you build is viable. you might want some extra points into R/W or natural resist.

    h

when i said 1 point into all the masterys i mnt the NR, iron skin etc..
    you have 111 skill points to use so;
    ww- max
    con-max
    mace m-max
    bo- max
    shout- max
    nr-1
    iron skin-1
    max stam - 1
    inc speed - 1
    beserk - 1
    battle c - 1
    5-preq
    =111 points

i think i will have ful resist in hell when using the ik set and +30 from the quests, and then 13 from my ani.
i will be using 2*bk rings and highlords so that +3 all skills, with ik set thats:
    combat - +10
    warcry - +8
    mast + 8

and at lvl 9 NR gives you +52 resist all then you will be only 3% off from max poison (i think it is) resist in hell. with ani this means you will have full resist in hel with only 1 point into NR...
tell me if im wrong as im kinda new with barbs...

Concentrate IK barb is dead boring, for your own sake if you don't want to fall asleep make a WW barb.

Max skillpoints is 110, since your character starts at level 1 and goes to 99 (98 points), and you get 4 per difficulty level (12), giving you a total of 110.

glad i found this thread :)

i have also just got the full immortal king set (typed that so i can search for this thread later "IK" is too short :/) and i was wondering what barb best suits this set.

First of all plz note this char is for fun - same as my Mavazon and my TO necro - so being elite is not a goal and it's purely for PvM and as cheap as possible.

I plan on making my first barb a ww barb:
    Mace mastery - 20
    WW - 20
    Shout - 20
    BO - 20
Battle Command - 1 - is it worth putting more in here?
With a few pre req's i'll still have several skill points left - advise needed in spending them - i thought to put 1 in all the passives and let some + skills sort them out.

    Gear
Full IK - socket the mace with 2*shaels and the rest with ED/mf stuff?
Jewellery is the question (i can get all rings bar Soj/BK, and all amu's bar mara's prolly)

i gather that this is the basic idea for a WW barb, any comments would we most welcome.

Yes, for a whirler, i would definately max ironskin over conc. There's not point in having two combat skills if they don't synergize with each other, and 1 conc with 20 BO already does more damage than whirlwind. Max whirl, shout, bo, mastery, one in each of the defensive/statistical masteries, berserk, and battle command, and then pour whatever you can into ironskin. That's the typical whirler build now, and it's powerful.

Don't put more than one point into Bcomm, and make sure to put at least one in nat resist/inc speed and berserk. Extra points, dump them into ironskin, as I mentioned above. The best sockets for the armor/helm if you're going with whirlwind ed/str jewels, though those are somewhat rare, so just do what you can. For jewelry, Highlord's Wrath is the best barb amulet, ravenfrost is pretty standard and cheap for the ring slot, and the other ring can be whatever you want; rare/blood are nice, or one of the new uniques.

Take your time though, and be careful, as whirlwind isn't very user-friendly with first-time barb players. It'll take some getting used to, and you'll probably die a lot until you get the hang of it and learning to trim the pack/triangulate your whirls.
