    What are you reading now!

If you are busy reading a book; which one are you reading?

How do you like it so far?

    Myself:
I'm reading "Lord of the Flies" by William Golding and so far it's great, I'm about 3/4 through it and it reads like a train! (or something like that..)

"If on a winter's night a traveler" by Italo Calvino.

i'm finding this book incredibly enjoyable although i wish i had more free time in which i could read. i'm probably only halfway through. This book, like any other work by Calvino that i've read, likes to make your mind think.

"Otherland" by Tad Williams, book one of many. Not bad, but really killing time until I get back into Scott-Card.

And, until WOT:12 comes out of course ;).

Just last night, I started Tuesdays with Morrie. I've only read about 35 pages, but I love it already.

Next on the list is a non-fiction book on special ops by Tom Clancy. I usually like his stuff. Not much on the thinking level, it's like a movie in word form.

Just started "Rabbit at Rest" by John Updike. It won the Pulitzer prize in 1991. Just finished its predecessor "Rabbit Is Rich", which also won a Pulitzer in 1982. Both are very good books.

I'm sort of trying to read all the Pulitzer prize winners for the last 20-30 years. This is number eight, in no particular order.

"The Sociological Imagination" by C. Wright Mills.

I gotta keep my brain sharp for graduate school in the fall, plus Mills had a lot to say about the difference between good social science and bad social science.

Finishing re-reading the Swords trilogy by Michael Moorcock; one of my old-time favorite authors.
I was trying to fight my way through another of Anne Rice's vampire books but just couldn't do it anymore; she went seriously downhill after 3 or 4 books and just gets off on the bisexual angle now.

A book of short stories by Stephen King. It is alright so far.

I just finished Confederacy of Dunces, which due to school, took me a long booty time to get through, but it was an amazing book.

Next after these short stories I think I am going to read Catcher in the Rye.

Can't remember what it's called. Emmy's school has these book sales every month and a lil bit back we got like 10 horror books. So I'm on the third one of those.

Yeah, it is a bit silly, teen aimed and such, but until I get my booty to the library it's all I have in the house I havn't already read. That's worth reading anyhow ;)
