What are you doing this fouth of July weekend?

Well this coming weekend is important to me in three unique ways:

    1. obviously 4th of July signifies America's birthday.

    2. My 16th birthday is on July 3rd!!! Driving time!

    3. Finally, my one year forum anniversay is on July 2nd!!! Holy crap, 2000+ posts in one year???

Anyway to celebrate all this stuff, I'm going out camping and fishing with my family and friends somewhere in Rhode Island on the coast. Then, I think I'm going to one of my friend's 4th of July BBQs after that.

    So what you people doing?

I'm dealing with a major house full this weekend. My older daughters bday is July 2nd. I'm throwing a party for her here.

*puts on chefs hat, dawns his "Chefs need love too" apron and starts defrosting tons of brisket*

Beers and explosives. Is there really any other way to celebrate being American?

Sit on my roof (to escape the mosquito hoards) with my friends and watch the fireworks followed by BBQ and beer. After that, an annual tradition: Dodgeball ... bottle rocket style.

Going to a friend's lakehouse, 2 hours away. It's right beneath a big fireworks show that is produced every independence day. We'll grill out, probably shoot bottle rockets at each other, get sloshed, and pass out after some embarassing hijinx.

The good news is that I found out today that I don't have to work over the weekend.

    wOOt!!

My initial plan is to do some hiking and camping. Not sure if I will though.

I may just take it easy, watch some NASCAR at Daytona, and take care of some neglected chores.

    Massive amounts of BBQ
On the 5th I have an anniversary and a Weezer/Cake concert

Oh did I mention celebrating my country's independence by blowing up a small part of it?

Scout master is a pyrro-technician for the city of Gladstone. I have set off some fireworks bigger than my chest.

    Ash did 2000 yesterday.

I think a group of us are heading to the RISD "Farm," which is a huge beachfront estate RISD owns in Barrington, RI. One of the weekend days is reserved for some work that's due Monday, and Monday night...PARTY!

your attacks only serve to reveal your inadequacies

speaking of which, isn't it great how putting a space between every line makes a post seem bigger or longer?

    I really enjoy it

I'm hosting a big BBQ at my place for the 4th... probably 30 or so of my friends will end up showing up.

Sadly, fireworks aren't so effective up here just because with it not really getting dark at night, it kinda defeats the purpose. I mean we could shoot them off but then what? Barely make them out against the sunset?

There is no way in hell my attacks can reveal all my inadequacies.

    Can they?

If you can't see your fireworks against a sunset you aren't buying big enough.

I am hoping for a thermonuclear warhead this year, biggest boom mankind can make. Seriously though, if I had the 400$ to spend on one I would. (Its a firework big enough that it requires some sort of license. . .not really open to the public.) But it is on display at Red X every year.
