What are the odds of gambling a unique

What are the odds of gambleing and receiving a unique. I know they discontinued this for a while, did they ever bring it back? Ive been gambling with my spare gold and havent gotten a unique yet,

so that pretty much makes it impossible and thus not worth trying.

The chance is now 1/2000 for a unique, 1/1000 for set in 1.10+, at least according to the sources I've found. In 1.09 and the 1.10 beta, the odds were much lower, so there may be some old numbers that state your chances as being lower still around. The chance of getting an exceptional or elite unique are, of course, much lower, though that doesn't matter for rings/ammys.
