WF and BOTD in PVP which is better?

i have this question below is what equipment i use :

Helm: Vampire Gaze
Armor : Socketed with ed/ias jewels
Ammy : Cat's eye
Belt : String of ears
Ring : raven spiral and a crafted 9 life leech ring
boots : waterwalks
gloves : crafted gloves with 20 ias

ok here's my setup so what should i use ? WF or BOTD

i considered BOTD before but if i use it i will need to craft another pair of gloves for knockback and the dmg is stupidly low but if i use wf i will shoot dam slow with only bout 80 + ias

i dont know the breakpoints but it might be better to socket wf with ias or sheal and socket vamp with ias jewel i think this is better then using botd the more i think about it

There is a long post going now about the merits of BOTD so I wont restate everyting said there but the most important thing about BOTD is that the zon is built from the ground up to take advantage of it. If you have a WF zon BOTD is never going to give you the damage you want. Its big advantage is that you can build a zon saving over 100 points to put in dex. If you build her this way her damage will be close if not supperior to your WF zon (depending on level) and she will have all the other advantages that come from the bow or the equipment choices that open up to you.

So if you already have a build that can use WF you should stay with it, but if you have a BOTD bow also, take a look at how many stat points you can save and put in dex on your next zon. The speed of the BOTD and the LL will also open up equipment spot for even more dex items. There is another post about best bow for pit runs that actually mathmaticlly calculates not only raw damage but actual damage based on chance to hit which is greatly incresed in the BOTD due to the higher dex, not sure how this relates to PvP, but it is an interesting read. I would attach the posts but have not figured that out yet, good luck with your build.

if you are talking about standard guided arrow only pvp zons wf>botd
if you are talking bout pure multishot pvp zons then botd>wf

botd>wf . speed>power . botd= speed + power. wf = POWER but no speed. PS: dont craft k/b gloves you don't need k/b. its cheap and kinda lame :/

peace

As said in the other thread: wf = power but no speed? Its 20% ias slower...

I agree with you but after years of playing a WF shooting at 8 fps the fact is that 20 ias makes a difference. Although someone said in another thread that it was easy to get to 8 fps with windforce the truth is you have to give someting up to do it. WF can just slide below that break so a bow with 20 ias advantage will have a big advantage in equipment choice. But I do agree that calling the bows fast and slow is going a little far, maybe kinda slow and a little faster would be better.:uhhuh:

Speed is relative. If you see a WF zon shooting opposite a buriza she is lighting fast, even if she is only at 9 fps. If you see her shooting next to a speed zon doing 7 FPS she will seem increadable slow. 8-9 fps is a respectable speed and does not appear slow until you compare it with someone shooting at 7.
