    Werewolf Druid?

I've seen many guides and topics about wind druids, fire druids, summoners, werebears and hybrids of those, but what happened to the good ol' werewolf? Back in 1.09, I thought it was one of the neater class concepts, and I'm basically wondering if it's still viable in 1.10.

I suppose this might belong more in the Druid Strategy forum, but you guys have been so nice and helpful thus far :)

What do you do about PIs? Do you have Fire Claws or Rabies as a backup skill? Rabies seems to kill too slowly and Fire Claws without synergy has a pretty low damage...

Ribcracker, got it. I'll keep my eyes open with my sorc and try to find one ;) Bloody expensive to equip druids.. :)

For PIs my WW druid has Tiamat's Rebuke and Gimmershred on switch, they give very much elemental damage

Holy cow.. that thing is insane. Time to start running the Pit (well, after I get there... Just finished off Bloodraven, so it won't be too long)

Yes, the 1.10 werewolf is still a very viable build. :) I think you
hear less about it these days because there are some great druid variants
    to play now.

As for the Ribcracker, it is a terrific weapon from level 31 on. I found a
good ED% Ribcracker from NM Andariel recently in fact.

Some more options for PIs are: a combo of Lacerator with a Blackoak (to
minimize Dex investment) for Amping PI monsters, a Reaper's Toll
on a desert merc for Decrepifying PIs, or as many pieces of the 1.10
IK set and Maul as you can get for some large elemental damage.

I just finished Pat’ing a WW Druid several weeks ago. I cruised through Normal and NM at players 8 and did the majority of Hell at players 3-4, so I can definitely tell you they are viable in 1.10. I was planning on writing up a “say hello to the new Pat†post detailing my stats, skills, equipment and such but never got around to it. Maybe I’ll do it later tonight if you’re interested.

fury WW's are certainly viable. i second (or third) the vote for the upgraded ribcracker being the best weapon for this build. i used a Baranar's Star and Tiamat's Rebuke on weapon switch because neither of these require any points into dexterity. my basic stat and skill allocation is pretty much the same as for the 1.09 build. the nice thing about this build is that with the up'd Ribcracker you can kill fast with almost any other equipment (MF anyone?). currently my WW druid is running meph and enjoying it quite thoroughly.

yeah LPR pretty much answered your question "why a rib"

my WW used it when he hit 31 and then when he hit 56 i got a upgraded for him and put a shael in it.

    Lots of CB
    Lots of IAS
    Lots of HRC
Lots of Defence (use it with a upgraded shaft or something!!)
    Lots and Lots of dmg!!

I'm actually thinking of making a WW druid wearing IK set -helmet once I get my hands on the armor...should be good damage, decent CB and nice elemental damage...should be able to fury everything down.
