According to this, the Heart of Iron on the left gives +4.2% healing. However, nothing on this armor contributes toward the healing stat. In fact, the armor it would replace has life per kill.

Note, that when I eqip the Heart of Iron, my recovery stat does go up as advertised, and when I hover over recover, it says I have a higher healing value than the other armor.

How does this make any sense? What am I missing?

That's quite interesting. Could it be the extraordinary valor you're feeling when you equip it?
