Weird discovery

Hey- so I just found a superior mage plate and I saw on a couple of sites that the highest base defense a mage plate can get is 261. the one I found has 13% enh def and it has a total of 296

calculating 261 * 13% make for a 294.93 which would make sense if it was 295 even but 296? is there something im missing?

Superior armor with %def has a base defense of max+1, i.e. 262 for a mage plate and adding 13% to that is 296.
