Weee, help me make a lvl 30 auradin o_O

I got my hands on a :

Scepter , 2sox , 3holy shock/ 2 holy shield/ 2 charge

Its such a shame to let it go to waste so... any chance this might succeed?

Let's see.
Lvl30, that would allow you to have 6 hard points in Holy Shock and 18 hard points in Resist Lightning, and one point in salvation.

Your Holy Shock would be 7.3 yards, Pulse 3-128 and add 1-768 to your attack.

Then add some +skills,
3 from the scepter alone would have it up to 1-1152 damage, and every +skill to Holy Shock would add a rough 150 damage. I guess you'll get skills from at least the amulet. Sojs might be a waste, you will need AR too.

And afaik, lvl30's don't increase their max res much, do they?
Anyway, let's say 1500 lightning damage. That's 250 after PvPpenalty -> 67.5 if 75%res.
Maybe could work, if you hit fast and hit often. And the pulse is funny to annoy casters and pop minions.

Hmm..

Perhaps I could work this into some kind of defence build?

I should have alot of leftover skillpoints so HS + Defiance . High def armor/boots/helmet , eth frosties and such?

Ohhh forgot to add: It has 13% Rep life on it. Paired with my highish ar/stats/mana/ rep life rings this could add opportunities right?

Well, it would be much better if you had a white scepter there. As stated above your attacks will do, at the very best, about 300 pvp damage and pulses will do close to nothing after res and mdr + life rep. Do you have any particular gear on mind? Perhaps you may want to make it lvl 35 build just to check if it works at all.

I can get my hands ( except the weapon.. its the sole purpouse im trying this) on every item. Got the inv and such covered. Circlet = 2offensive/life/mana/res/20fcr, amu = 2pcomb/res/life/mana/10fcr

If you get a decent physical damage going it should work out decently.

Best I can see you reasonably getting is a level 18 holy shock going which gives you 1-2709 on attack and 3-451 pulse damage. I assumed 2xsoj so I'm including that in the numbers underneath.

1368 average
1368 / 6 = 228
228 / 4 = 57
57 - 15 (string) = 42 damage
42 - 13 (viper) = 29 damage

227 average pulse damage
227 / 6 = 38
38 / 4 = 10
10 - 15 (string) = -5 You heal them 5 damage per pulse
-5 - 13 (viper) = -18 You heal them 18 damage per pulse

That 5-30 fire damage is a problem though because of the mdr bug.

You'll end up cutting out at least 14 damage.

You don't need fcr (get ar insted) and even with the godliest gear you will do about 1/3 of average lld charger damage. So, imo, it will not work work, besde amusing some randoms :shocked:

In short words, ur scepter seems to be a charsi food.

mdr bug applies whenever you deal both physical and fire damage, and I think the fire damage does not change anything as it is already a mix of physical and lightning damage...

(bug meaning that pdr and mdr stacks in case of an attack consisting of physical and elemental damage, this can in the case of overstacking mdr allow it to reduce the physical parts of the attacks)

The FCR may not be needed =P , but its on there =D.

Hmm, that scept would be awesome ill try looking for that on switch. No-one got any neat tricks for the REP life/Def thingies ? =(

About the phys damage part, max/ar/lifers in my inv should take it to .. midish damage right?

@jakotaco Every element is done seperatley which is why the mdr bug is such a big deal in lld. 1 fire damage, 1 light damage, 1 cold damage against an opponent with 30 mdr ends up healing them 87 damage.

hmm, didn't know that... I better check my barbs charmsetup for elemental dmg (I know there is a few cold dmg charms to replace still)

Yeah, it was a real kick in the *** cause I'd had a +2 shapeshift +30frw +life circlet with something like 7-13 cold damage on it. Because of the mdr bug it was absolutely worthless.

This build doesn't work. You'l;l end up doing like 35 average pvp damage per hit.

Getting 75% res won't be hard for any decent LLD.

To put things in perspective, high damage LLDs like eth bonesnap chargers can hit for 20k physical damage

I too see rather little hope for this char in a lld vs lld match up really. For pubs this could be a lot of fun, but with mdr and everything factored in you pulsin would heal the opponent while you woudl be dishing out rather low ele dmg. Unless your lld opponent has zero mdr to themselves (like a melee build has less than 20ish) you might be able to take them, otherwise me thinks casters would eat you alive. Or just run/tele around while you heal them...
