Hey all!

I've been playing with my wolf barb recently. He got his level 48 in NM act 1 (outer cloister). Still killing with dual bloodletter's Whirlwind. He's got 90 stats unassigned for future life boost - I am going with as low str as I am able.

IRL, my nephews (5- and 3-year-old boys) are coming home tomorrow night, and they will spend a whole week here with me and my parents. Some calm week ahead! :) The eldest will bring his Playstation that he is starting to learn how to play.

Though I love to spend time with them, I see a serious lack of nightly fun on this next weekend. Also a crippling blow on my MFO winning pretensions. Right in the balls. Ouch!

No, not giving up! BTW, in Ancient Tunnels' gold chest, I got a unique-only drop - my second so far! Nord's Tenderizer and Heaven's light made their appearance in one key use. If only it waited until next week...

My first unique pop was when I was at players 8. 4 or 5 uniques scared the hell out of me! None top notch, tho.

Also, Kingdom of Loathing is damn fun again!

Enough chitchat, see ya!

I was kinda itching to get a re-taste of Heroes of Might and Magic 3 so I loaded up H3-Complete and i'm playing a bit of my fave class - Necromancer.

But i'll be MF'ing my sorc tonight. Want to get here to 92 and then maybe i'll start some Baal runs or Pit runs or maybe level my other chars.

Have a great day everyone.

Just after midnight in Sin City, and I need to grab some shuteye following a four day weekend (nice to have PTO). Got my Zon up to level 40, after clearing out Nilly's Temple, Glacial Trail, and Frozen River. Not many interesting finds, but I am starting to see some exceptional items drop, which has been helping with damage. Have a great humpday.

Sin City I suppose as in Las Vegas. If so, it's nice to see someone that lives their lives here in hell. ( or atleast it's hot enough to be hell.. ) =)
But anyways, as of now I'm working on my Metoeorb sorc. I start her ealier today, and now she's lvl 18 and just got the cube. I kind of did it cheater style, since I got amped, and only have 130 life. I ran into the room with the cube, and it was literally packed full with monsters. Somehow I managed to get around them, and pretty much picked up the cube from across the room.. and save and exit.

Then a bit before that I played my wind/fire druid. Hes currently in act 3 NM at lvl 55. I have a feeling I'm not doing enough damage... Fissure does about 700 right now. =/

But my playing will be over for a week, because in two hours from now I will be departing this living hell to spend a week in Sanfran.
And seeing as I just got my permit, maybe my mom will let me drive for an hour or so, seeing as I'm terrified of driving on freeways ( I tried the other day... I thought I was going to die. lol ) I figured at 3 in the morning and out in the middle of the desert with no other cars would be a good time to get used to travelling at higher speeds. =)

A fellow Vegan, eh? Good luck on the driving; freway driving, as you will see, is generally easier and safer than street driving, especially here. Just remember that the onramp is where you get up to freeway speed; you should be above 45 mph as you start to merge; by going that fast you are able to gauge the speed of the traffic in the merge lane. To help, start out on entrances that have extended service/exit lanes, like the one heading south on 95 off of Cheyenne; you have almost a 1/2 mile to merge over, and if you feel too nervous, just stay in the sevice lane, and exit onto Rainbow.

Well, if Fissure is your main skill, you should be nearing Max level, but I don't know what the damage is at lvl 20; If Fissure is your main skill, be sure to synergize it with the other fire skills. Also, Molten Boulder is a real help in a lot of places; since that synergizes Fissure, iirc, pumping that will help both skills. MB is really powerful in the Maggot Lair, except at those annoying corners.

As for the sorc, I wouldn't feel too bad about it. However, you should start practicing avoiding crowds in normal, so when you get to Hell, you'll be an old hand; sorcies who get to close to monsters generally die screaming.

Bah, Bill is a nub. Rampart + Ranger = Pwn. :D
Dungeon + Gunnar
Castle + Loynis
Rampart + Mephala
Necropolis + Isra/Vidomina
some other good combos :) (im a fan too)

d2wise...did some more MF with my blizz sorc...nothing to get keen on...except for my first Ormus' Robes.
Also played my FA Strafezon some more...but im having hard times with her...she's got red resists and she tends to lose life at a super-rate.
made her a Lionheart Mage plate...added some toxic sc...her damage is pretty good...but surviving sux...she has just killed Hell Andy...

Tower + Adela (if you get lucky with hero hiring)
why adela? actually Cyra is better (spec. haste <-rox!, has dipl and wisdom as well, and tower armiess dont really need bless, their min and max dam are pretty close)
and i dont get the speciality 'bless'
your army does full damage period. how can bless be improved?

and another GREAT combo: Stronghold + Gundula
better yet, Castle + Gundula
those archangels' damage owns when multiplied by Gundula's speciality

I've been leveling my hammerdin for a few days in the Chaos Sanctuary, with a few nice drops so far (IK armor, Tomb Reaver, Ist and a perfect 300 ed Ribcracker come to mind, besides a few nice charms), he's standing more or less at half level right, 96 doesn't seem so far away now :)

When I level him up, I think I'll be starting a new char with that Ribcracker, I had thought about a WW barb, but I'm open to suggestions if you have any!

a ribcracker fury wolfdruid would rock IMO
but NF is a ribcracker specialist, i guess he could help here :)

Cool, some h3 fans.

Each castle has it's own great combos. I particularly like the heroes with movement bonuses which make them pretty effective in the beginning when getting a good start makes all the difference. Especially if you play Impossible settings.

But necros are where it's at for me. My main guy is Thant. He's awesome!

Comes with Animate Dead spell right out of the bottle. Thant and animate dead and skellies and Vampire Lords = big advantage.

yeah, fighting against those vampire lords is frustrating!
kill 20, they attack, 20 resurrect :)
i always play all random settings and king (impossible?) difficulty
so i dont really choose neither the castle or hero im starting with

Have fun out there all!

Goodday everyone!

I'm working today and i just got back from a one hour lunch and walk out in the sunshine

I'm doing an untwinked HC druid, pretty much trying AE's fire/summoner guide. It has been really great so far, he is now lvl 23 (1 lvl from volcano ;)) and on his way getting the amulet in acy2 normal. On p8 it has gone really fast to level up when clearing all monsters in the way.

Yes, how can one not be a h3-fan? :p

Necropolis+thant is actually what i usually go for myself, nice if you get town portal spelll too.

Generally I like heroes that start with a good spell, therefore i quite often play with Deemer as Dungeon because he is starting with the meteor shower spell that is really powerful :)

But ATM it's only diablo 2 LOD for me.

Well it's Thursday here (in the middle of the night). Today (yesterday actually) I got my untwinked about-to-become-level-99 assassin to level 70. And I found a green winged helm for her! :flip: Now I need some res to get through hell. Well...

Good day everyone.

I just wanted to pop in and say:

HoMM I/II/III r00lzs!!!11one

Oooh... and I like Inferno/Ayden (Heretic) combo. Why? Well, I think (Arch) Devils are 1337 and Ayden looks a bit like me :D

Edit: to take this thread back to being on topic; I quested a little with my Usamamancer. He's now level 50 at the gates of Hell (in NM, though).

Just wanted to know if anyone actually played person to person on HOMM3 via TCIP or over the 'net?

Can't imagine that it would be "quick" being a turn-based game. Would sound kinda painful to be honest.

Adela's special allows her bless to make damage = to Max + 1 or +2, IIRC.

So a big stack of Master Gremlins doing 2 more than their max damage = :D
oh, i see. i've never noticed that! heh, i've always avoided adela, unless i needed diplomacy :)

Ayden...yeah...spec intelligence and you never have to worry about spellpoints and drink from wells...just dim door your way to the next enemy! :)
