    Weapon speed question

I understand that an item has a base weapon speed.
For example, the berzerker axe has a base speed of 0.
However in statistical listings it states

    [0]
    Ama, Asn, B, D, N, P - Fast > Fast for these classes
    S - Normal > Normal for sorcs

Does this mean that all classes besides sorcs get a ias boost, or does it mean that sorcs lose 10ias when using the axe, and have a default of +10 speed?

I think that info is related to number of frames that a normal attack with no IAS lasts. A sorc swing an axe slower than a pally because her base attack lasts more frames that the pally's attack, both without IAS.

That's right. Each action (such as swinging a weapon) takes a certain number of animation frames to complete. What the above is saying is basically that the animation for a sorc swinging a zerker axe takes a "normal" number of frames while it takes less frames for the other classes.

You can then reduce the number of frames with IAS etc.

Yes and no. The speed statement is not in comparison to other character classes, but in comparison to other weapon classes for the same character. Every character has a base animation speed for every weapon class, which is then modified by WSM and equipment/skill ias. For example a weapon could be marked as "normal" for pally and "fast" for a sorc, yet the pally could still swing faster because his base animation lenght for that weapon class is faster then the sorcs (even faster for other weapons for the pally and even slower for other weapons for the sorcie)

With no IAS, the same weapon will always be slower for a class marked as 'normal' than for a class marked as 'fast'.

Ohh ok, thanks a lot guys. But still, does swinging slower than other classes mean ur still swinging about 10ias slower or something?
