Wealthy Necro Merc

Hi there

I've got a Summoner (Max Skel and Mastery) and I was looking at the runeword Beast.

Fanaticism on skeletons could be really great. Do you think it's worth the hassle to get an Act3-5 merc to use the Beast runeword?

Or should I make doom on a Might Merc? ;)

Thanks

Might merc with doom too? Am I the only one that can see too many auras there? ;)

I'm already using Arm of king leoric, too many bonuses to change it... So that's out of question.

Weapon switch it summon with your arm and then when u have enough switch to beast because the skeleies stay on the lvl u summoned them.

Havent made a 1.10 necro yet (Played a few in 1.09) but.....

How about a Commando mancer with:

Might Merc (with Bramble -Thorns- Armor)
Iron Golem ("Beast" weapon)
you using Pus Spitter Bow (with 1 point in P. dagger for accuracy)

Thorns + Might + Fanantism + Amp =

Throw in a Wisp ring for even better results :)

yea, i would make a iron golem out of a eth botd just because it's eth and it makes the golem look cooler. or eth beast or something.

What would it do to make an iron golem out of a beast? The Golem would have the fanaticism aura?? :)

Hey, that's an idea.

Despite it being a intresting idea. Personally i wouldn't even try IG out partiuclarly on a precious items like BEAST BOTD etc even if i was rich enough to afford it.

The reason for this is that if you have used IG, you would soon learn weakness of IG as i have lost count on the amount of times he just somply disappeared or how easily he is killed off (even with the upmost care) it just not practical to use but of course that imo. I haven't had the luxury of trying this out with really godly items but i am pretty sure it shouldn't be too different from my "ordinary" IG experience despite the extra attributes that good items can bring.

PD bug is no more, and it never worked on ranged anyway. And I won't even bring up that pusspitter is nearly useless.

Ok thanks all.

Well the beast on switch is a good idea since i'll be a summoner, an overlord to be exact.

The IG i'm gonna make is from a pally shield (with res) with 4 sockets so it should be element immune at least.

But fanaticism is really a good idea. I'll try this out.

Thanks!

If you've got Beast and the Fanaticism Aura, are you still better going for the Might Merc over the Blessed Aim Merc...? I imagine the reply would differ, depending on whether you are a summoner or a commandosummoner

As a side note, I've seen my holy freeze merc with my sorc and it seems there a 1/10 maybe 1/15 chance that the monster corpse is gonna be destroyed by holy freeze, else, everything is fine.
