wanted to check my calculations for my trapper

Sorry if you guys hate this type of question, but I wanted to double check my calculations. I have a pretty decent trap claw (3 traps/3 lightning sentry). Unfortunately it's a battle cestus which only has a WSM of -10. I took a look at jrichards' IAS table for trap laying, and with my level 8 Burst of Speed and my -10 WSM battle cestus, I only need 13 IAS to hit a 9 frame trap laying speed, correct? So if I socketed it with a 15 IAS jewel, it would be enough?

VERY nice claw.

According to the table in the sticky, you'd only need 10 IAS with lvl 8 BoS and a -10 claw. Yes, the 15 IAS jewel would work great.


By the way, if you are using a secondary claw with a different speed, then that number may change. If you use a faster claw (Bartucs, for example), then even less IAS would be needed. In fact, A -30 claw (combined with your sweet trapper claw) with lvl 8 BoS requires 0 additional IAS.

I don't understand why people need trap laying speed so bad. I mean, those things last for a while, you know. What's a couple of milliseconds of difference gonna make?

PvP stunlocking is the only time it *really* matters. Fire traps can use fast speed too.
