I'll say it again, rare amulets and circlets get 60 life max at level 30.

AS is wrong on druid helms.

Indeed, 60 Life is max on rares. I was mistaken, surprisingly since I made the distinction between Magic and Rares for Barb Helms.

By the way, theres no need to get aggressive or superior...

A simple "I think you're mistaking the Squid Suffix as being able to spawn on rares, whereas it is limited to Magics" would have been more than sufficient, and friendly...

Thanks for the advice about AS being wrong for Druid helms, not the first time. I just haven't heard anything which contradicts it regarding Druid helms before, hence the skepticism...

Edit:

Hyper, if you REALLY want an Assa, a Kicker is the way to go for proper LLD.

A Fire Trapper makes a very "newb" friendly LLD starter char, as it will do very well in pubbies, but will stand no chance vs a decent opponent.

Light trappers are also out of the equation unless you have perfect gear, since they top out at 1.2k Max Traps at level 30 with Plain 2 Trap claws, with 2k being possible with 2/3 Claws

As for levels, Europe seems fixated with 29, whereas i prefer the Yank method of level 30, making casters much more viable. :wink2:

Okey, then ill guess ill aim for a lvl 29 char :)
So, assa´s isnt the best in LLD(for a poor one)? What would you suggest for me?
And maybe you want to write a mini mini guide? :)

Can´t wait till i get started.

At 29, for a starter, it depends what you want, a Fire Trapper or Kicker will tear pub's easily, whereas for competetive dueling, you'd want something more like a Hammerdin or Bone Necro.

Those are the better "ghetto" builds for starters, others require a lot more funding to get working rightly.

As a general rule, around 40% of all LLDers on EU Ladder are hammerdins, and 20% are Boners..

I say go to 30 though. If people complain, just laugh...

If you decide what build you really want to do, I'll come up with stats/skills/items for "BM" Pubby dueling and "GM" Priv dueling.

Sorry, I'm just annoyed at arguing over the price of gear that will never spawn, I had to do it a couple other times on this forum, and it got on my nerves then too.

Light trappers are definately viable LLDs, and both light and fire trappers are more powerful than a kicker (assuming they dont use noka + hotspurs vs fire). Without +5 hand scythes (VERY hard to find) you can go 105 fcr with a spirit instead and still do very well.

Ok, I didn't mean to argue, was just a point, think we got wires crossed because of Realm differences.

As for Trappers being viable, again, this is a Realm thing, at 29 they are much less viable.

In Private dueling a fire trapper will stand no chace at 29, whereas at 30 it might do.

And as for the 105% FCR trappers, you will do OK in pubs, but again, not really so well in privates...

At least these are my experiences from Europe.

You choose, what you think is the best. :)

And i guess a bit over ghetto :p I can get most of the mid-a bit over mid stuffs.

seen a level 29 fire druid on eu scl that did very well in pub games, though it'd suck if anyone had enough sense for hotspurs and nokozan.

Fire druids are one of the weakest builds at level 29. They are a lot of fun, and will rape pubs (any llder rapes pubs) but they can't compete against other caster builds.

Fissure druids are very good at level 18 though.

If you wanna make a char that can kill everything make a hammerdin or a boner. My fav being the hammerdin. If you feel confident and want a little more fun get a x foh x conv. scepter on switch and call yourself a mage =). Even without any points in foh you´re still able to kill people in pubs. I agree that a kicker is really weak if you find a player with some decent gear and maxblock.

But if you decide to make a kicker dont use any elemental dmg since the mdrbug really destroys your dmg versus most casters.
