Waiting in line to start a game

I don't remember it being like this before.. even during odd hours when most people are not playing. I mean, almost anytime I try to create a game, I'd have to wait in line (usually a short one, around 10).

My theory is that this could be caused by botting - or it could be just me.

    Any thoughts?

Bots could definitely be causing this, I think. In 1.09 after each "cleanup" by Blizzard those lines disappeared. Check how many people is online during odd hours and compare with how many's online during the evenings.

I also think that Bots might be the cause of this. Back in 1.09, I had to wait in lines like 526 or something like that (even though they didnt take long) but mainly because of meph/piddle bots or something like that. I just hope that they're not back.

They are back :( I've hunted a few and tried to kill them, but it's harder these days than it was back in 1.09.

Bots are part of it, I also think that there might be less servers devoted to D2 than in the past. Just a guess.

    Bots for sure.

U even get the line late at nite when normal play is at a low. Cruising other forums shows pindlebot is very popular right now....

I wouldn't be surprised to see the waiting time increase again....

Pindlebot is indeed still around. Two of my friends use it. Well used too..kinda. One got banned and then the other quit. Apparently blizz wants to work in the shadows now.....but i wonder why theyre banning is spotted.

    Its most likley botting.

In 1.09 the lines were almost always like that. at least your not waiting in line right after a server maintanence, those lines can get up to 50,000+

That would be my guess too suggestive. I'm sure there are less people playing diablo these days than there were a year or two ago. Blizz is prolly using less servers to accomodate D2 playing these days. Also, bots are back and I'm sure thats part of it too.
