Alright i have a Level 84 pure lightning trapper. My Merc is an Act two Nightmare Defensive merc. He Has an infinity eth cv and andariels visage, i was wondering if there was some dencent cheep amour out there that will take care of the -fire resist.

The runeword smoke is el cheapo, 50 res all and some fhr.
Or you could try something I always wanted to try, but been too lazy, runeword Gloam. 45 res all, good defence and 15% chance to cast Dim Vision when struck. Must be nice around gloams or harpies, they can be pretty mean to my merc.

Or you could simply find a 4 socket armor and socket Rals, 1-4 Ral gives you 30-120% fire resistance.

A 140/45 armor combined with a Ral rune? xD

EDIT: That ain't cheap, but maybe you can try Black Hades? 1 ral and 2 um's maybe? Will get you an excellent res armor, and still get you a damage boost against a certain type of opponent.

Otherwise, Spirit Forge? Sockets, 5% base fres, fire damage and +15 Str? Cheap, effective, and much overlooked armor.

or even vipermagi. Duriels is far better though. Note the cannot be frozen, which is ever so useful. Socket with a ral rune if you want even more fire res...

Well i Got a fort from a friend, and im gonna socket andy helm with a ral and he does 6.7k =)
