Vorzheva's Book/Author of the Week

I'll do an author this week because I think all of her books are great.

Author: C.S. Friedman
Book(s): This Alien Shore, The Madness Season, The Coldfire Trilogy

The first two books above are mainly science fiction with a little bit of fantasy thrown in. Coldfire Trilogy is more fantasy with a science fiction background, I like the trilogy better because I like fantasy more than science fiction. There's another book, In Conquest Born that I haven't read yet. Always it's in the future and they are in another planet, but they know of earth. Aliens colonize or earth is no longer habitable, or is quickly becoming that way.

If this thread goes off well, then you'll hear me again next saturday. If it doesn't, I'll be at the bar, wallowing in self-pity :drink: :buddies:

The Stranger by Albert Camus.

Great read about a man, the society he lives in, and his overall apathy he feels towards people and societal norms/customs.

True, some people cannot put themselves in a book. They cannot....imagine for themselves, they need people to put the images out for them...
