Vita or Mana?

Sup....I'm building a lite sorc and I already have gear. Here is what I got..

Eschuta
Griffons Eye
Coh
2 x Soj
Maras
Arach
Treks
Frostburn
Spirit Monarch

Switch: Cta/Spirit Monarch

Charms: Storch, Anni, 5 x Lite gc's

I have probably made 5 sorcs in my life, and i have always put ALL my points into energy.....but...i heard from somewhere that a sorceress doesnt die as easily if you go all vitality instead of mana. So.....whats good?

i think that for pvm, mfing and non-hardcore going with vitality is good
my sorc has about 60 points in energy, and im fine

hardcore and pvp, it would be best with max block i think

I call brag thread...

with all that gear giving + to warmth, +energy and the two SOJs boosting your max, you should have plenty of mana. Especially if you use an Insight merc, though I'm guessing you're probably up to Infinity by now.

Ultimately it comes down to this....if you run out of mana before life, you can down a pot. If you run out of life before mana, you die. If you're not a max ES build (and therefore mana=hps), go vit.

Hmmm, i'm not bragging by no means. I usually just do my own thing, and my own builds. I was just questioning this one...Anyways, I want this sorc to be pvp. I've also noticed, no matter how many points i put in mana (using es) ....in pvp duels i'll get hit once and ALL my mana is gone. This is why i was questioning vita. Its weird..i'll get hit once without es and i'll prolly have 12 hp left when i only have 650 life total. If I have es on and i get hit once it ALL goes away..yet i have 2200 mana. Do ya get what im sayin.....I really dont understand. Its like..if i have es on, I take double dmg.

Another question..would it not be smart to go all vita when using a spirit monarch?

And yes, my merc uses eth inf/eth fort

do you have max TK? remember you take 2x damage to mana with only 1 pt of TK, plus ES doesnt benefit from any resists, so thats not surprising.

My hc sorc has around 380 vit and 250 energy with gear.. no block. Atm around 1200life 1050 mana. Got 1 point in ES and atm pumping telekines, 61% absorb with current gear that is missing at least 7 skill points.

Don't go full energy if you don't have high energy shield and telekines. If you plan to pump some telekines and about 70% absorb with gear I like to have some mana.. 1500-2000. Depends on build also. I have CB/ORb that requires some mana.. nova is another mana hungry.
