    video from PvP duels

I finally make FRAPS videos from PvP (and put them on youtube) whitch we played friday evening here on MP forum in colonys game (colony, denton, san, darkoo, antonio and me). There are some interesting duels. And from some videos I can see some huge mistakes whitch I made during some duels. Almost I know what I must improve for next time when I will dueled again. I must training much more.

    here are the adress:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xfhVaUER9uE

some videos has low quality beacuse when I died there is nothing interesting after my death.
    good spectacle

    Re: video from PvP duels

Quite nice videos, gg for recording and uploading them bassano.

I only wish I had bothered bringing in something better suited for PvP instead of a PvM pure glass cannon bowazon with a 9 frame attack and no Javelin/Shield switch... Though she wasn't entirely bad in teams, team often provided Fanaticism -> 7 frame Multi/Guided = nice.

@ bassano: You could consider using Vigor every time you use Charge for movement/maneuvering, and switching to Fanaticism/damage aura only before you are going to attack an enemy (but remember lag also delays aura switching, so in the case of a bad lag, switching auras in time becomes more difficult).

Charge desynchs even without FRW, but using Vigor (skill based FRW is more efficient than item based) while charging makes you move faster and creates even more desynch, which makes your character's movement even harder to "see" and anticipate by others in game.

Such constant aura switching is a bit troublesome and takes getting used to, but in the end it's worth it.

edit: Heh Sint, nice, looks nostalgic indeed, no one's tele'ing. : P

    Re: video from PvP duels

@denton: I must try it but with smiter I am beginer yet. Switching auras will be harder for my control but next time I will try it.
for my sorc your bowazon was hard but for smiter is too "fragile"

@sint: Are you playing PvP yet? I never played againist you and for me will be nice if I can dueled with you. When I saw first PvP video from some tournament here I am inspirated too much that from that time I made about 10 PvP chars and first was my firesorc desintegratka inspired by your firesorc bill. If you will have free time you can PMed me for some duel.

That just reminded me how much not having teleport must have annoyed me, especially considering I went and made an Enigma a few months later:tongue:

    aahm the memories.
I just launched up red round 1, and I like how I started off by typing "!I'm kinda scared"

It's always nice when people record their pvp sessions, I'll be sure to watch the ones bassano posted later as well!

Edit: Just watched red round 2 and I get killed 1/3 into it  Boooo

Those vid's reminded me how fun it is to get your *** kicked around the moor, man I'm making a char!

Heh, nice to watch these duels afterwards, thanks Bassano

For everyones information, I was playing LeSorcier (a pvm light sorc) and Xavier (my only quite good pvp specialized Templar/Vindicator, ie. FoH and Smite).

Nice videos Bassano, GG for recording it.

Too bad I get pwned mostly, and now its documented

My char is a trapper called VeilOfMaya and she got a few kills, mostly when I was playing with Colony and Denton(third video), but otherwise she got pushed around the Moor by every bully in the game

Nope. I basically stopped playing. I got in a game in the pvp-week, but I think that's the only time I fired up D2 in about 9 month (maybe longer). I just can't work out the game anymore.. so sucked up in GW I use rightclick to alter the camera movement.. errr.

    Re: video from PvP duels

Well if the vids are only 2 seconds long, then I won't even bother. I can't imagine you being awesome for more than a few seconds before reverting back to gooftacular ol' zarf, and subsequently getting destroyed by any MF Tal's sorc worth her salt.

Me on the other hand, well, I cut more egos down to size before I even step into the Moor. Just when they think they couldn't get carved up anymore, I say "gogo" and less than 10 seconds later, I have a new ear and they have an even better understanding self pity and self loathing.

(Trash talk was one of the best aspects of duels imo :wink3:)

    :grrrr:

Well people tend to favour the aspects of things where they actually have a chance of winning

    *goofy laugh*
    damnit!

edit: I don't like how you refer to duels in past tense, why does all the groovy pvp pros that the noobs could look up to have to quit? :hanky:

    Dear SPF,

Mr. Ray Patean is going to get involved in PvP. You have been warned. That means you, Mr. Evil.

    Re: video from PvP duels

Nice vids. It's a pity YouTube downgrades the quality so much, though.

On another note, are potions allowed in duels now? I noticed you were doing an awful lot of blue chugging to keep the Charge going.

    Re: video from PvP duels

Depends on the ruleset. Generally in BM you're allowed pots unless you're an ES sorc (since technically you can't die if you keep on chuggin' :p)
