Viable Anti-TPPK technique?

Viable Anti-TPPK technique?

Just an idea that popped into my mind, call it late night insomnia :dunce:

Would it be possible to make a fully decked out fire sorc / fire druid *insert whatever one hit KO build here* etc... then just make a hell game, park yourself in barred areas (canyon of the magi, arcane sanctuary, you get the idea) and wait for a potential PK to show up.

Hostile the PK, and start spamming up that killer spell at the wp. Since they all use mh anyway, and there's only one way into the areas listed, they should die right there as soon as they pop up (as long as it's one hit kill). I mean their anti targeting features shouldn't work if you're firing into thing air, right?

Would a chicken hack save you from such a trap? Another cool one would be shift hold two hander fury wolf... it shouldn't count as targeting?

Since TPPK'ers are a breed of 9 yr olds anyway, I doubt they could understand it's a trap.

It would rely on them not leaving on hostile.

But yeah, if they don't have chix host, they come after you while you're hostile, and you manage to one shot them, it would be possible to kill them by wp camping.

Still seems like a few too many ifs for my tastes, but I'm not patient either.

how will they no which WP to find you camping at? and how will you know exactly when they are going to appear? how long are you going to stand there spamming for before you get bored? how will you know they are tppk'ers? I mean how will you avoid killing innocent bystanders?

I vote.
Potential for success: poor

I have never used mh so I don't know what exactly they reveal, but I have always though they'd show the area you're in.

If not, make a tp in the area you're in. That's a 'dead' giveaway (for better or worse).

Well you have mana potions and you can use insight on your merc. TPPK'ers are not really the patient sort, they come straight after you. At least from my experience. They are too arrogant thinking they can't die with their chicken hacks.

how will you know they are tppk'ers?
I presume every sorc / necro / bowazon that joins a PvM game in hell / nm as a TPPK. Crafty game names attract PK'ers like flies too.

I mean how will you avoid killing innocent
If you leave the open tp no one should be stupid enough to go that area, at least I wouldn't.

I was wondering whether or not it's actually doable, in theory (and practise).

It's one thing to play with the mindset that every sorc/necro/bowazon that joins a public PvM hell game is a tppk'er. That kind of mentality keeps you alive.

It's crossing the line to pk these people just because you "think" they might be a tppk'er.

But whatever. It's not like someone's making them stay in the game after you hostile.

Errr, I believe there's a slight flaw in that plan.... u can't park yourself in those areas "Waiting" to Hostile "potential TPPK'r"....

AFAIK, u have to be in TOWN 1st b4 u can Hostile, lest your using a hack...

Lest I misread your statements.... which is quite possible

telenecro will do the trick... just let em hostile you, walk outside and teleport on their ***... use a level 70 or so necro so your golem has a good chance of hitting them.

seriously don't waste your time. tppk's arent worth the pixels they use.

Screw tppkers, the only smart way to play is private anyway, unless like me, you prefer to pk :p MUST COME BACK FOR EARRRSSSS! (blame trish, aaron, helz, and jugz for that!)

You don't have to be in the area to begin with. Stay in town for them to show up, hostile, wait 10 secs, run to arcane / canyon, boot up the tp to show where you are and begin spamming.

I think the biggest 'if' in the whole thing is to actually get the TPPK to come after you once you've hostiled them.

The whole reason why I begin to think about it in the first place was the security. Even if you don't manage to kill them outright, they will chicken back to town by their hacks. Going after them masquerading as dinner leaves you kinda open once it goes down. If you miss a charge or something, they get more pot shots at you right away (most will likely chicken though, sissies).

It could definitly work against some scrubby tppks. It would be aweseom if you managed to kill one using a non pre duped deaths fathom nightwing etc. Just remember you need to 1hit them or else they will live.

Also about mh, it wont show where you are the way you think it will.. unless thats a new feature to those superclients out there. Its semi possible since ive seen ppl use autotarget+tele to land on someone from about 5 screens away. Better probly to show them where you are somehow without making it obvious that you want them to know. Like leaving a tp open or perhaps being in their party then hostiling.

Good Luck.

Hey There!

Well in all honesty its worth a try, any plan to get rid of tppkers should be executed and not discussed imo!

Thing is tho tppks are chicken $&*#$ that's why they tppk, if you come off all confident and hostile, there's no way you're gonna see a toe outside town.

However, something that some of my lld'er comrades have taken to is making chars designed to take on tppkers at low lvls. Something that "looks" like crap, but packs the biggest punch alive. Most high lvl tppkers get a bunch of ears, get some confidence, then come to low lvl duel games, to try and trick duelers (real courageous!). They figure cause you're approx 50 lvls lower that they can't be killed because of chicken town portal hacks ect ect. Plus they never fully expect it, because your gear 'looks' crappy on mh. Plus, you don't really 'need' to click on then of you're skilled pk'er, and they would never expect that in a million years, because most of them figure diablo takes no skill. Just another piece of advice if, you're looking to do another step. Another aspect of it is when you're trying to take a high lvl with a low one, and its a tppker, you have to talk the noob talk, in order to slam them. Its really a crafted art :p

Funniest thing I've ever seen on diablo is tppkers dead, beside their hacked portal. I do a little dance inside! :jig:

So the tppk joins the game.

You party the tppk to let him know where you are, and to find out where he is.

Then you go to town, hostile him, and wait 10 seconds to take your wp to your isolated area.

You go down the wp to wait for the tppk....

now you start rebuilding your character because while you waited 10 seconds for the hostile timer, the tppk is WP camping you.

Most tppk's, tppk for the simple reason they they can't pk. If you hostile them first, their tppk effort is now reduced to a pk effort and a large majority of them will look for the cheapest safest way to still kill you, or leave the game.

No, because you dont party up in the start.

You hostile

Go to the WP

TP

Wait

BOOM

Not even a TPPK can be crap enough not to realize to look for tp's as the first sign of prey.

Or you just tell him where you went and act all big and mighty to get him to chase you. Dare him to kill you. They're that stupid.
