    Venomancer Jailkeeper

    Hey there,

    I'm trying to build a necro for the first time ever. After some searching here, I decided to try the Venomancer Jailkeeper. The skillpoint are dividedd like this:

    Max Poison Nova
    Max Bone Prison
    Max Corpse Explosion
    Max Poison Dagger
    Max Poison Explosion
    1 point into all curses, except Dim Vision, Confuse and Attract
    1 point into Clay Golem, Golem Mastery and Summon Resist

    I got the following questions:
    * Why clay Golem, is this the best one?
    * Is this a strong build?
    * Is poison a big dmg maker, anybody has exp with this kinda build and can give dmg numbers?
    * I'm open for suggestions to change some of the skillpoints?

    Stat points:
    str = 81 (with the 25 xtra from belt I can use the whole set)
    or go for those necro boots str156 needed?
    dex = dunno ?
    vit = all what's left
    nrg = 70

    Again open for suggestions :)

    Thanks in advance for everyone trying to help me see the fun of the necro build.

    well poison can definately be a big damage maker, but you need skillers, and full trangs isn't the best way to go. for pure damage you want trang gloves belt and shield (socketed with facet), bramble, death web, 3 poison and bone 2 socket circ with 2 facets in it and a +3 pnb amu, 2 sojs, torch, anni, and 9 skillers.

    but if you cant afford this or just really want to use trangs:

    full trangs
    try get a death web, even a low one, or else use that dagger with +4 to pois nova (i think its 4)
    a nec torch
    as many bone skillers as you can get
    jewelery: maras if you can afford, or else just a 2 nec or 3 pnb amu, sojs for rings, or else fcr rings i guess.

    stats: enough str for gear
    enough dex for max block
    everything else i vit
    nothing in energy, get a insight merc.

    damage all depends on how much you spend on gear, but it most definately can solo hell with ease with a decent set up.

    For just one point and some +skills you get an incredible tank.

    Do some calculations yourself.
