Venom Grip or Bloodfist?

I have a mid-lvl kicker, and I was wondering which gloves would be better for me right now... venom grip or bloodfist? and if the answer's bloodfist, are they worth upping?
Reasons, please.

I can never see Venom Grip as being a decent Glove choice, they offer very little. 5% Crushing is not worth it really. Only use them if you really really need to beat a poison using character, and even then, in most cases Death's gloves are better.
Bloodfists are always good, since 40 life and 30 FHR is the greatest random offerings of gloves ever... 10 IAS is just a bonus... a tasty breakpoint hitting bonus. As for whether you should up them, ask youself, does 40-50 defence really matter?

Edit: Of course, if you are of-level and use Venom, get yourself some Trangs....
