Upping the player count in single player games?

I quit playing D2 LOD a while ago, I think it was when v.10 was in beta. Anyways, I am back, and I seem to remember a command that was installed inside the game that allowed you to play the game as if you were running more than one player. If I recall correctly, the command let you specify up to 8 players. Does anyone know if this command is still active? And furhtermore, if it is active, what is that command? Sorry, if this is now a cheat, I apologize for my question, but at one time it used to be pretty legit. Thank you. Basically, I want to increase the difficulty of the game in Normal mode.

Open chat window (with Enter), type /players x (where x is a number from 1 to 8). Game will respond with '(Character name): players set to x'.

Just as an extension of jiansonz.

There is no need for a space between players and the number you wish to simulate.

For example, wanting to simulate 8 players would be:

    /players8

You should check out the stickies in the Single Player Forum. They have that answer as well as lots of other great info.
