    Upping Runeworded items (ESCL)

I have a question about 'upping' a runeword if that can be done.

If for example I had a 4 os Kiteshield. I make a Spirit out of it and I'm happy with it going through normal and I go onward to Nightmare and I want to upgrade it to a Spirit DragonShield, or possibly to a Spirit Monarch.

Is there a recipe for that using the cube or does it have to be upgraded before the runeword is made?

Does it have to be vanilla or can it already have the correct amount of sockets?

Speaking of spirit "4 Socket Swords/Shields Tal + Thul + Ort + Amn"

I'm a little fuzzy on this, I seem to remember Hel rune. Can spirit be made with a 5 os weapon using Hel to finish the word?

spirit takes a 4 os item
hel + tp scroll in cube will remove all runes/gems/jewels in a socketed item

spirits are normally rerolled to get the 35fcr
